Claims
- 1. Instrumentation for percantaneously fastening a superior facet to an inferior facet, comprising:
a lower arm adapted to hold a first fastener portion against the lateral surface of a superior facet, an upper arm including a distal tip adapted to access the outer surface of an inferior facet; and a second fastener portion inserted in alignment with the upper arm and through both facets to the first fastener portion, thereby fusing the joint through compression.
- 2. A method of percantaneously fastening a superior facet to an inferior facet, comprising the steps of:
holding a first fastener portion against the lateral surface of the superior facet; and passing a second fastener portion through both facets to the first fastener portion, thereby fixing the joint through compression.
