Claims
- 1. Fluorochemical compositions comprising compounds represented by the formula ##STR57## wherein R.sub.f is perfluorocycloaliphatic radical ##STR58## Wherein R.sub.f ' is independently fluorine or a C.sub.1 to C.sub.4 straight or branched chain perfluoroalkyl radical with the proviso that no more than two R.sub.f ' radicals in an R.sub.f radical are said perfluoroalkyl radicals and
- a is an integer of from 1 to 6,
- n is 0 to about 10,
- Z is --H, --X', --CF.sub.2 H, --CF.sub.2 X", --COX", --COR, --COOH, --COOR, --CF.sub.3, --CONR'R', --CH.sub.2 NH.sub.2, --CH.sub.2 NCO, --CN, --CH.sub.2 OCOR.sub.f, --CH.sub.2 OSO.sub.2 R.sub.f, --C.sub.3 N.sub.3 (R.sub.f ").sub.2, --CH.sub.2 OCOR, or --(CH.sub.2).sub.m Si(R"').sub.3,
- wherein --X' is --F, --Cl, --Br, or --I
- X" is --Cl, --Br or I
- R and R' are each independently H or lower alkyl, aryl, or a combination thereof, or the two R' groups in --CONR'R' can together form an alkylene moiety, which together with the amido nitrogen atom form a heterocyclic nitrogen atom form a heterocyclic ring,
- R" is H or CH.sub.3
- R"' is a hydrolyzable group,
- R.sub.f " is a fluoroaliphatic group, which can contain one or a plurality of hetero atoms, and
- m is an integer of 2 to 11.
- 2. A fluorochemical composition of claim 1, wherein the compound is ##STR59##
- 3. A fluorochemical composition of claim 1, wherein the compound is ##STR60## where n is 0 or 1.
- 4. A fluorochemical composition wherein the compound is ##STR61## where n is 0 or 1.
- 5. A fluorochemical composition wherein the compound is ##STR62##
- 6. A fluorochemical composition wherein the compound is ##STR63##
- 7. A fluorochemical composition of claim 1 wherein the compound is ##STR64##
- 8. A fluorochemical composition of claim 1 wherein the compound is ##STR65##
- 9. A fluorochemical composition of claim 1 wherein the compound is ##STR66##
- 10. A fluorochemical composition of claim 1 wherein the compound is ##STR67##
