Claims
- 1. A peripheral equipment control device connected to an interface bus which is connected to processing means including a processor and other peripheral equipment control devices, said peripheral equipment control device comprising:
- a power supply for providing power by a power line and ground line;
- a bus control unit for controlling a plurality of signal lines of the interface bus and a plurality of signal lines of an internal bus in said peripheral equipment control device;
- a first group of terminators using resistors connected between each of the signal lines of the interface bus and the power line, the resistors having a resistance greater than 220 ohms;
- a second group of terminators using resistors connected between each of the signal lines of the interface bus and the ground line, the resistors having a resistance greater than 330 ohms; and
- a central processing unit for controlling a piece of peripheral equipment according to a signal from the signal lines of the internal bus,
- wherein said bus control unit drives the signal lines of the interface bus terminated by said first group of terminators and said second group of terminators.
- 2. The peripheral equipment control device according to claim 1, further comprising:
- a third group of terminators using resistors connected between each of the signal lines of the interface bus and the power line, the resistors having a resistance which is 220 ohms;
- a fourth group of terminators using resistors connected between each of the signal lines of the interface bus and the ground line, the resistors having a resistance which is 330 ohms; and
- selector means connected between each of the signal lines of the interface bus and the resistors for selecting one couple from among a first couple including the first group and the second group of terminators and a second couple including the third group and fourth group of terminators.
- 3. The peripheral equipment control device according to claim 2, wherein the selector means is a plurality of switches connected between each of the signals lines of the interface bus and each of the terminators.
- 4. The peripheral equipment control device according to claim 2, wherein said bus control unit has a first sink bus driver which consumes a current of 48 mA for driving signals of the signal lines of the interface bus, a second sink bus driver which consumes a current less than 48 mA for driving signals of the signal lines of the interface bus, and a second selector for selecting one from the first and second sink bus drivers.
- 5. The peripheral equipment control device according to claim 1, wherein said bus control unit has a sink bus driver which consumes a current less than 48 mA for driving signals of the signal lines of the interface bus.
- 6. The peripheral equipment control device according to claim 1, wherein said interface bus is a small computer system interface bus, generally known as an SCSI bus.
- 7. The peripheral equipment control device according to claim 1, wherein said peripheral equipment control device is formed as a single semiconductor integrated circuit.
- 8. A peripheral equipment control device connected to an interface bus which is connected to processing means including a processor and other peripheral equipment control devices, said peripheral equipment control device comprising:
- a power supply for providing power by a power line and a ground line;
- a bus control unit for controlling a plurality of signal lines of the interface bus and a plurality of signal lines of an internal bus in said peripheral equipment control device;
- a first group of terminators using resistors connected between each of the signal lines of the interface bus and the power line, the resistors having resistance greater than 220 ohms; and
- a central processing unit for controlling a piece of peripheral equipment according to a signal from the signal lines of the internal bus,
- wherein said bus control unit drives the signal lines of the interface bus terminated by said first group of terminators.
- 9. The peripheral equipment control device according to claim 8, further comprising:
- a second group of terminators using resistors connected between each of the signal lines of the interface bus and the power line, the resistors having a resistance which is 220 ohms; and
- selector means connected between the each of the signal lines of the interface bus and the resistors for selecting one from the first group and the second group.
- 10. The peripheral equipment control device according to claim 9, wherein said selector means is a plurality of switches connected between each of the signal lines and each of the terminators.
- 11. The peripheral equipment control device according to claim 9, wherein said bus control unit has a first sink bus driver which consumes a current of 48 mA for driving signals of the signal lines of the interface bus, a second sink bus driver which consumes a current less than 48 mA for driving signals of the signal lines of the interface bus, and a second selector for selecting one from the first and second sink bus drivers.
- 12. The peripheral equipment control device according to claim 8, wherein said bus control unit has a sink bus driver which consumes a current less than 48 mA for driving signals of the signal lines.
- 13. The peripheral equipment control device according to claim 8, wherein said interface bus is a small computer system interface bus, generally known as a SCSI bus.
- 14. The peripheral equipment control device according to claim 8, wherein said peripheral equipment control device is formed as a single semiconductor integrated circuit.
- 15. A peripheral equipment control device connected to an interface bus which is connected to processing means including a processor and other peripheral equipment control devices, said peripheral equipment control device comprising:
- a power supply for providing power by a power line and a ground line;
- a bus control unit for controlling a plurality of signal lines of the interface bus and a plurality of signal lines of an internal bus in said peripheral equipment control device;
- a first group of terminators using resistors connected between each of the signal lines of the interface bus and the ground line, the resistors having a resistance greater than 330 ohms; and
- a central processing unit for controlling a piece of peripheral equipment according to a signal from signal lines of the internal bus,
- wherein said bus control unit drives the signal lines of the interface bus terminated by said second group of terminators.
- 16. The peripheral equipment control device according to claim 15 further comprising:
- a second group of terminators using resistors connected between each of the signal lines of the interface bus and the ground line, the resistors having a resistance which is 330 ohms; and
- selector means connected between the each of signal lines of the interface bus and the resistors for selecting one from the first group and the second group.
- 17. The peripheral equipment control device according to claim 16, wherein said selector means is a plurality of switches connected between each of the signal lines of the interface bus and each of the terminators.
- 18. The peripheral equipment control device according to claim 16, wherein said bus control unit has a first sink bus driver which consumes a current of 48 mA for driving signals of the signal lines of the interface bus, a second sink bus driver which consumes a current less than 48 mA for driving signals of the signal lines of the bus, and a second selector for selecting one from the first and second sink bus drivers.
- 19. The peripheral equipment control device according to claim 15, wherein said bus control unit has a sink bus driver which consumes a current less than 48 mA for driving signals of the signal lines of the interface bus.
- 20. The peripheral equipment control device according to claim 15, wherein said interface bus is a small computer system interface, generally know as a SCSI bus.
- 21. The peripheral equipment control device according to claim 15, wherein said peripheral equipment control device is formed as a single semiconductor integrated circuit.
