Claims
- 1. A permanent magnet motor comprising:
a rotor having a plurality of magnetic poles disposed at a interval in a peripheral direction of the rotor; and a stator having a plurality of magnetic pole pieces arranged at a spacing in the peripheral direction, the magnetic pole pieces being opposed to the plurality of magnetic poles of the rotor, wherein
a face of each of the magnetic pole pieces of the stator opposed to the magnetic poles of the rotor includes an auxiliary groove, and a skew having an electrical angle in a range of 61° to 84° is provided relatively between the rotor and the stator.
- 2. The permanent magnet motor according to claim 1, wherein the skew has an electrical angle in a range of 65° to 78°
- 3. The permanent magnet motor according to claim 2, including respective slots between adjacent magnetic pole pieces of the stator, and 2N magnetic poles of the rotor and 3N slots, where N is a positive integer.
- 4. The permanent magnet motor according to claim 2, including respective slots between adjacent magnetic pole pieces of the stator, N magnetic poles of the rotor, 3N slots, where N is an even integer.
- 5. The permanent magnet motor according to claim 2, including respective slots between adjacent magnetic pole pieces of the stator, and 4N magnetic poles of the rotor and 3N slots, where N is a positive integer.
- 6. The permanent magnet motor according to claim 2, wherein the skew is provided on one of the rotor and the stator.
- 7. The permanent magnet motor according to claim 2, wherein the skew is provided on both the rotor and the stator.
- 8. The permanent magnet motor according to claim 2, wherein four auxiliary grooves are provided for every magnetic pole piece.
- 9. The permanent magnet motor according to claim 2, wherein windings of the stator are concentrated.
- 10. The permanent magnet motor according to claim 2, wherein the magnetic poles of the rotor are selected from the group consisting of radially anisotropic permanent magnets and radially magnetized permanent magnets.
- 11. A permanent magnet motor comprising:
a rotor having M magnetic poles disposed at an interval in a peripheral direction of the rotor; a stator having P magnetic pole pieces arranged at a spacing in the peripheral direction, the P magnetic pole pieces being opposed to the M magnetic poles of the rotor; and n auxiliary grooves in a face of each of the magnetic pole pieces of the stator opposed to the magnetic poles of the rotor, wherein
M, P, and n are integers, the least common multiple of M and (n+1)·P is X, Y=180·m/X, m satisfies 61<mY<84 (m is an integer), and a skew having an electrical angle in a range of 61° to 84° is provided relatively between the rotor and the stator.
- 12. The permanent magnet motor according to claim 11,
wherein m satisfies 65<mY<78 (m is an integer); and the skew has an electrical angle in a range of 65° to 78°.
- 13. The permanent magnet motor according to claim 12, including respective slots between adjacent magnetic pole pieces of the stator, 10N magnetic poles of the rotor and 12N slots where N is a positive integer, and n is no more than 4.
- 14. The permanent magnet motor according to claim 12, including respective slots between adjacent magnetic poles of the stator, 14N magnetic poles of the rotor and 12 N slots, where N is an even integer, and n is no more than 4.
- 15. The permanent magnet motor according to claim 12, including respective slots between adjacent magnetic poles of the stator, 8N magnetic poles of the rotor and 9N slots, where N is a positive integer, and n is less no more than 4.
- 16. The permanent magnet motor according to claim 12, including respective slots is formed between adjacent magnetic poles of the stator, 10N magnetic poles of the rotor is 9N slots, where N is a positive integer, and n is no more than 4.
- 17. The permanent magnet motor according to claim 12, including respective slots between adjacent magnetic pole pieces of the stator, wherein
0.040<c/W<0.125 where an interval of slot opening in the peripheral direction is W, and width of the slot opening in the peripheral direction and width of auxiliary groove in the peripheral direction are c.
- 18. The permanent magnet motor according to claim 12, including respective slots is formed between adjacent magnetic pole pieces of the stator, wherein
0.25<b/a<0.82 where thickness of a peripheral projection from each of the magnetic poles of the stator in the peripheral direction is a and depth of the auxiliary groove is b.
- 19. An electric power steering system comprising a permanent magnet motor having:
a rotor having a plurality of magnetic poles disposed at an interval in a peripheral direction of the rotor; and a stator having a plurality of magnetic pole pieces arranged at a spacing in the peripheral direction, the magnetic pole pieces being opposed to the plurality of magnetic poles of the rotor, wherein
a face of each of the magnetic pole pieces of the stator opposed to the magnetic poles of the rotor including an auxiliary groove, and a skew having an electrical angle in a range of 61° to 84° is provided relatively between the rotor and the stator.
- 20. The electric power steering system according to claim 19, wherein the skew has an electrical angle in a range of 65° to 78°.
