Claims
- 1. A sintered permanent magnet having good thermal stability, consisting essentially of the composition represented by the general formula:
- R(Fe.sub.1-x-y-z Co.sub.x B.sub.y Ga.sub.z).sub.A
- wherein R is Nd, part of which may be substituted by one or more elements elected from the group consisting of Pr and Ce, 0.ltoreq.x.ltoreq.0.7, 0.02.ltoreq.y.ltoreq.0.3, 0.001.ltoreq.z.ltoreq.0.15 and 4.0.ltoreq.A.ltoreq.7.5.
- 2. The sintered permanent magent having good thermal stability according to claim 1, wherein 0.01.ltoreq.x.ltoreq.0.4, 0.03.ltoreq.y.ltoreq.0.2, 0.002.ltoreq.z.ltoreq.0.1 and 4.5.ltoreq.A.ltoreq.7.0.
- 3. The sintered permanent magent having good thermal stability as in claim 2 wherein 0.05.ltoreq.x.ltoreq.0.25, 0.04.ltoreq.y.ltoreq.0.15, 0.005.ltoreq.z.ltoreq.0.05, and 5.0.ltoreq.A.ltoreq.6.8.
- 4. A sintered permanent magent having good thermal stability, consisting essentially of the composition represented by the general formula:
- R.sub.1 R.sub.2 (Fe.sub.1-x-y-z Co.sub.x B.sub.y Ga.sub.z).sub.A
- wherein R.sub.1 is Nd part of which may be substituted by one or more elements selected from the group consisting of Pr and Ce, wherein R.sub.2 is up to about 40 atomic % of R.sub.1 +R.sub.2 and R.sub.2 is Dy, 0.ltoreq.x.ltoreq.0.7, 0.02.ltoreq.y.ltoreq.0.3, 0.001.ltoreq.z.ltoreq.0.15 and 4.0.ltoreq.A.ltoreq.7.5.
- 5. The sintered permanent magent having good thermal stability according to claim 4, wherein 0.01.ltoreq.x.ltoreq.0.4, 0.03.ltoreq.y.ltoreq.0.2, 0.002.ltoreq.z.ltoreq.0.1 and 4.5.ltoreq.A.ltoreq.7.0.
- 6. The sintered permanent magnet having good thermal stability as in claim 4 wherein 0.05.ltoreq.x.ltoreq.0.25, 0.04.ltoreq.y.ltoreq.0.15, 0.0056.ltoreq.z.ltoreq.0.05, and 5.0.ltoreq.A.ltoreq.6.8.
