Claims
- 1. Amino peroxycarboxylic acid derivatives having the formula ##STR3## where R, R.sub.1 and R.sub.2, that may be the same or different from one another, represent hydrogen atoms or alkyl groups, with the proviso that two groups selected from R, R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 together with the nitrogen atom to which they are linked, form an aliphatic heterocyclic ring, optionally substituted by one or more substituents selected from F, Cl, OH, NO.sub.2, lower alkoxy, carboxylic groups, which may be the same as or different from each other;
- A represents an alkylene group or a cyclo-alkylene group which may be optionally fused with cycloaliphatic rings, a cycloalkylene-alkylene or an alkylene-cycloalkylene group, wherein:
- (1) said alkylene group is optionally interrupted by CONR.sub.3 groups;
- (2) R.sub.3 represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl, or an aryl group; and
- (3) X represents HSO.sub.4.sup.- or CH.sub.3 SO.sub.3.sup.-.
- 2. The peroxycarboxylic acid derivatives according to claim 1, wherein said two groups selected from R, R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are linear or branched alkyl groups and together contain from 4 to 6 carbon atoms.
- 3. The amino peroxycarboxylic acid derivatives, according to claim 1, wherein A is a linear or branched alkyl group containing from 1 to 20 carbon atoms; a cyclo-alkylene (C.sub.3 -C.sub.12) group, an arylene group containing from 6 to 14 carbon atoms, a (C.sub.3 -C.sub.12)cyclo-alkylene-(C.sub.1 -C.sub.5)alkylene group, a (C.sub.1 -C.sub.5)alkylene-(C.sub.3 -C.sub.12)cyclo-alkylene group, a (C.sub.6 -C.sub.14)-arylene-(C.sub.1 -C.sub.5)-alkylene group, or a (C.sub.1 -C.sub.5)-alkylene-(C.sub.6 -C.sub.14)-arylene group.
- 4. Amino peroxycarboxylic acid derivatives according to claim 3, wherein the arylene group is fused with cycloaliphatic groups.
- 5. A derivative as defined in claim 1, which is 3-piperidine-perpropionic acid methanesulphonate.
- 6. A detergent formulation having as active bleaching agent an amino peroxycarboxylic acid derivative having the formula (I) of claim 1 in combination with inert carriers or ingredients commonly employed in commercial detergent formulations.
