The disclosure relates to personal massagers and more particularly pertains to a new personal massager for facilitating a user to massage the user's own shoulders and other areas of the user that may be difficult to reach.
Various personal massagers are available which use an elongated handle that is curved or otherwise shaped to allow a user to hold the elongated handle generally in front of the user while massaging the user's shoulder or back. However, the prior art fails to describe such a device with several useful and novel features, including a variety of interchangeable massager heads that interchangeably mount to the handle via either a controller module that vibrates or heats a selected massager head or a massager mount that does not vibrate or heat the selected massager head. Additionally, the prior art does not disclose an auxiliary grip which may selectively attach to the handle for improved grip of the handle or to the selected massager head to provide a more compact form for the device
An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a handle which is elongated between a first end and a second end. The handle comprises a shoulder portion at the second end which is shaped and configured to extend around a shoulder of a user. A controller module is selectively mountable to the second end of the handle and comprises a housing, a processor mounted in the housing, and a vibration motor mounted in the housing and operably coupled to the processor. A massager head is selectively mountable to the controller module. The massager head comprises a base, an engagement member, and a connector. The base is coupled to and extends between the engagement member and the connector. The connector is shaped to insert into a vibration massager-receiving opening defined by the housing of the controller module to mount the vibration massager to the controller module and operably engage the vibration motor.
There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
