The disclosure relates to sanitizer devices and more particularly pertains to a new sanitizer device for sanitizing a user's hands. The device includes a holster that is mounted to bracelet and a cartridge that is insertable into the holster. A pumping unit is integrated into the cartridge for dispensing a measured amount of hand sanitizer that is stored in the cartridge.
The prior art relates to sanitizer devices including a bracelet and a pod coupled to the bracelet that can spray a hand sanitizer. The prior art discloses a variety of sanitizer devices that include a bracelet which has a plurality of reservoirs integrated therein, each containing a hand sanitizer. The prior art discloses a variety of sanitizer devices that each include a bracelet being hollow and which contains a hand sanitizer. The bracelet includes a pump for pumping the hand sanitizer onto a user.
An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a bracelet that can be worn around a user's wrist and a holster that is coupled to the bracelet. A cartridge is provided that contains a fluid sanitizer and the cartridge is insertable into the holster. A pumping unit is insertable into the cartridge such that the pumping unit is in fluid communication with the fluid sanitizer contained in the cartridge. The pumping unit is actuatable into a pumping uniting condition to dispense a pre-determined volume of the fluid sanitizer when the pumping unit is actuated thereby facilitating the user to sanitize their hands.
There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
As best illustrated in
A cartridge 34 is provided that contains a fluid sanitizer 36 and the cartridge 34 is insertable into the holster 16. The fluid sanitizer 36 may comprise any chemical sanitizer that is approved for use as a hand sanitizer. The cartridge 34 has an upper end 38 and a front wall 40, and the upper end 38 is open into an interior of the cartridge 34. The front wall 40 has a dispensing aperture 42 extending into an interior of the cartridge 34, and the dispensing aperture 42 is positioned adjacent to the upper end 38. The dispensing aperture 42 is aligned with the aperture space 32 on the front side 26 of the outer wall 20 of the holster 16 when the cartridge 34 is inserted into the holster 16.
A pumping unit 44 is provided and the pumping unit 44 is insertable into the cartridge 34 such that the pumping unit 44 is in fluid communication with the fluid sanitizer 36 contained in the cartridge 34. The pumping unit 44 is actuatable into a pumping condition having the pumping unit 44 producing a pre-determined amount of pressure. In this way the pumping unit 44 can dispense a pre-determined volume of the fluid sanitizer 36 when the pumping unit 44 is actuated. The pumping unit 44 comprises a pump 46 that has an input 48 and an output 50. The pump 46 may comprise a manually operated fluid pump of any conventional design.
The pumping unit 44 includes a button 52 that has a lower side 54 and a front side 56, and the lower side 54 is movably integrated into the pump 46 such that the button 52 can be manipulated by the user. The front side 56 of the button 52 has a spray nozzle 58 that is fluidly integrated therein, and the spray nozzle 58 is in fluid communication with the output 50 of the pump 46. Moreover, the spray nozzle 58 is aligned with the dispensing aperture 42 in the front wall 40 of the holster 16 when the pumping unit 44 is inserted into the cartridge 34.
The pumping unit 44 includes a tube 60 that is fluidly coupled to the input 48. The tube 60 extends into the cartridge 34 when the pumping unit 44 is inserted into the cartridge 34. In this way the tube 60 can be submerged in the fluid sanitizer 36. The pump 46 urges air inwardly through the input 48 and outwardly through the output 50 when the button 52 is depressed. In this way the pump 46 can spray the fluid sanitizer 36 outwardly through the spray nozzle 58 thereby facilitating the fluid sanitizer 36 to be applied to the user.
In an alternative embodiment 62 is most clearly shown in
In use, the bracelet 12 is worn on the user's wrist 14 and the button 52 is depressed whenever the user wishes to dispense the fluid sanitizer 36. A pre-determined volume of the fluid sanitizer 36 is sprayed outwardly from the spray nozzle 58 when the button 52 is depressed. In this way the user can sanitize their hands any time they touch a doorknob, a countertop or any other surface upon which bacteria and viruses might exist. Thus, the user can reduce the likelihood of contacting an infectious disease as the result of touching surfaces upon which bacteria or viruses are located. The pumping unit 44 can be removed from the cartridge 34 to facilitate the cartridge 34 to be refilled with the fluid sanitizer 36.
With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
