Claims
- 1. A perylene derivative of formula I whereinX and Y are oxygen; R3 to R10 are independently hydrogen, hydroxyl or aryl, or the radicals conjointly attached to one carbon atom may represent ═O or ═CHR11, R11 is hydrogen or C1-C3-alkyl, wherein said perylene derivative has 1 to 3 carbonyl groups per molecule.
- 2. The perylene derivative as claimed in claim 1, wherein the R5 and R6 pair and the R7 and R8 pair are each ═O.
- 3. The perylene derivative as claimed in claim 1, wherein R9 and R10 are each hydrogen or hydroxyl, and the R3 and R4 pair, the R5 and R6 pair, and the R7 and R8 pairs are each ═O.
- 4. The perylene derivative as claimed in claim 3, wherein R9 and R10 are hydrogen.
- 5. The perylene derivative as claimed in claim 1, wherein R3, R4, R9 and R10 are each hydrogen or hydroxyl, and the R3 and R4 pair or the R9 and R10 pair may be ═O, and the R5 and R6 and the R7 and R8 pairs are each ═O.
- 6. The perylene derivative as claimed in claim 1, wherein said perylene derivative has 1 carbonyl group per molecule.
- 7. The perylene derivative as claimed in claim 1, wherein said perylene derivative has 2 carbonyl groups per molecule.
- 8. The perylene derivative as claimed in claim 1, wherein said perylene derivative has 3 carbonyl groups per molecule.
- 9. The perylene derivative as claimed in claim 1, wherein said aryl is α-naphthyl, β-naphthyl, phenyl, or substituted phenyl.
- 10. A pigment preparation comprisingA) at least one organic perylene pigment, and B) at least one perylene derivative as claimed in claim 1.
- 11. The pigment preparation as claimed in claim 10, further comprising C) one or more rosins.
- 12. The pigment preparation as claimed in claim 11, which contains 8 to 15% by weight of C), based on the weight of the preparation.
- 13. The pigment preparation as claimed in claim 10, comprising:A) from 80 to 99.98% by weight of the organic perylene pigment, B) from 0.02 to 5% by weight of the perylene derivative, C) from 0 to 18% by weight of a rosin, and further comprising, and D) from 0 to 5% by weight of one or more additives.
- 14. The pigment preparation as claimed in claim 13, wherein D) is a surfactant.
- 15. The pigment preparation as claimed in claim 10, wherein the pigment is in the form of particles having a particle size distribution from 50 to 100 nm.
- 16. A method of preparing the pigment preparation as claimed in claim 10, comprising combining A) and B).
- 17. A method of modifying the crystallization of an organic pigment, comprising:mixing the perylene derivative as claimed in claim 10 with an organic pigment; and crystallizing the organic pigment.
