Claims
- 1. A device for controlling at least one species of ground crawling pest, said device comprising:a first area having a first construction adapted for receiving a quantity of a first pest control material having a first physical consistency; and at least one additional area having at least one additional construction substantially different from said first construction, said at least one additional area being adapted for receiving a quantity of at least one additional pest control material having at least one additional physical consistency substantially different from said first physical consistency.
- 2. The device of claim 1, wherein the first area and the at least one additional area are formed as separate elements.
- 3. The device of claim 2, wherein the first area and the at least one additional area are coupled to one another by resilient members formed on one or both of the first area and the at least one additional area.
- 4. The device of claim 1, wherein the first pest control material is directed to attract a first species of pest and the at least one additional pest control material is directed to attract a second species of pest different from said first species.
- 5. The device of claim 4, wherein the first species of pest comprise flies.
- 6. The device of claim 5, wherein the second species of pest comprise bees.
- 7. The device of claim 4, wherein the first species of pest comprise ground crawling insects.
- 8. The device of claim 7, wherein the second species of pest comprise rodents.
- 9. The device of claim 1, wherein the first pest control material comprises a glue board and at least one additional pest control material comprises a ground crawling insect bait.
- 10. The device of claim 1, wherein the first pest control material comprises a solid rodent bait and at least one additional pest control material comprises a ground crawling insect bait.
- 11. The device of claim 1, wherein the first pest control material comprises a glue board and at least one additional pest control material comprises a solid rodent bait.
- 12. A device for controlling at least two different species of pests, comprising:a first area for controlling a first species of pest; and a second area for controlling a second species of pest, wherein the first area is accessible by both the first and second species of pest, but the second area is only accessible by one of the first or second species of pest.
- 13. The device of claim 12, wherein the first species of pest comprises rodents and the second species of pest comprises ground crawling insects.
- 14. The device of claim 12, wherein the first species of pest comprises bees and the second species of pest comprises flies.
- 15. A device for controlling at least two different species of pests, comprising:a first portion for controlling a first species of pest; and, a second portion for controlling a second species of pest, wherein the first portion and the second portion may be coupled to one another by resilient members formed on one or both of the first portion and the second portion.
- 16. The device of claim 15, wherein the first species of pest comprises rodents and the second species of pest comprises ground crawling insects.
- 17. The device of claim 15, wherein the first species of pest comprises bees and the second species of pest comprises flies.
- 18. A device for monitoring at least two different species of pests, comprising:a first portion for monitoring a first species of pest; and, a second portion for monitoring a second species of pest, wherein the first portion and the second portion are coupled to one another by resilient members formed on one or both of the first portion and the second portion.
- 19. A pest control system comprising:a first pest control device for monitoring a first species of pest; and, a second pest control device for monitoring a second species of pest, wherein the first pest control device and the second pest control device may be coupled to one another by resilient members formed on one or both of the first pest control device and the second pest control device.
- 20. The system of claim 19, wherein the first species of pest comprises bees and the second species of pest comprises flies.
- 21. The device of claim 19, wherein the first species of pest comprises rodents and the second species of pest comprises ground crawling insects.
- 22. A device for controlling at least one species of rodent and at least one species of insect, said device comprising:a first area with a first construction having a first entrance for entering the device, said first area adapted for receiving a first pest control material for controlling at least one species of insect; and a second area with a second construction substantially different from said first construction and having a second entrance for entering the device, said second area being adapted for controlling at least one species of rodent, wherein the first and second areas are interconnected to permit passage of rodents or insects therebetween.
- 23. The device of claim 22, wherein the first entrance comprises at least one opening for permitting the at least one species of insect entry into the first area.
- 24. The device of claim 22, wherein the first entrance is disposed at substantially ground level.
- 25. A device for controlling at least two different species of insects comprising:a first compartment having a first construction adapted for receiving a first pest control material for controlling a first species of insect; a second compartment having a second construction adapted for receiving a second pest control material for controlling a second species of insect; and, a third compartment having a third construction adapted for receiving a third pest control material for controlling a third species of insect.
- 26. A device for controlling at least two different species of insects comprising:a first compartment having a first construction adapted for receiving a first pest control material for controlling a first species of insect; a second compartment having a second construction adapted for receiving a second pest control material for controlling a second species of insect; and, a third compartment having a third construction adapted for receiving a third pest control material for controlling a third species of insect, wherein the first compartment, the second compartment and the third compartment are all disposed in a concentric relationship to one another.
- 27. The device of claim 25, wherein the first pest control material comprises a solid bait, the second pest control material comprises a semisolid bait, and the third pest control material comprises a liquid bait.
- 28. The device of claim 25, wherein the first construction is different from the second construction and the third construction.
- 29. A device for controlling at least one species of pest comprising:a first compartment having a first construction adapted for receiving a first pest control material for controlling at least one species of pest; a second compartment having a second construction different from said first construction, said second compartment adapted for receiving a second pest control material for controlling the at least one species of pest; and, a third compartment having a third construction different from said first and second constructions, said third compartment adapted for receiving a third pest control material for controlling the at least one species of pest.
- 30. A device for controlling at least one species of pest comprising:a first compartment having a first construction adapted for receiving a first pest control material for controlling at least one species of pest; a second compartment having a second construction different from said first construction, said second compartment adapted for receiving a second pest control material for controlling the at least one species of pest; and, a third compartment having a third construction different from said first and second constructions, said third compartment adapted for receiving a third pest control material for controlling the at least one species of pest, wherein the first compartment, the second compartment and the third compartment are all disposed in a concentric relationship to one another.
- 31. A modular pest control system comprising:a first component comprising a first pest control device for controlling a first species of pest; a second component comprising a second pest control device for controlling a second species of pest different from said first species of pest; and resilient means for connecting said first and second components, wherein said resilient means comprises a first member disposed on the exterior of the first component which connects to a second member disposed on the exterior of the second component.
- 32. The modular pest control system of claim 31, wherein said first member comprises at least one spring clip, and said second member comprises at least one mating recess.
- 33. A modular pest system comprising:a primary housing; and, at least one removable secondary housing disposed within the primary housing, said removable secondary housing adapted to contain pest control material, wherein the at least one removable secondary housing is pre-filled with pest control material.
- 34. The modular pest system of claim 33, wherein the at least one removable secondary housing comprises a plurality of removable secondary housings disposed within the primary housing, each of said plurality of removable secondary housings adapted to contain pest bait.
- 35. The modular pest system of claim 33, wherein the at least one removable secondary housing includes a removable cover which is removable to expose the pest bait.
- 36. A modular pest system comprising:a primary housing for controlling pests, said primary housing including at least one recess therein; and, at least one removable secondary housing adapted to be inserted in the at least one recess, wherein the at least one recess in the primary housing is adapted to receive pest control material when the at least one removable secondary housing is not disposed within the at least one recess, and wherein the at least one recess is adapted to receive the at least one removable secondary housing when no pest control material is disposed within the at least one recess.
