Claims
- 1. A method for the treatment of hyperlipemia, which comprises administering to an animal suffering from hyperlipemia an effective amount of a compound of the formula: ##STR4## wherein R.sup.1 denotes one member selected from the group consisting of the residual groups formed by removing OH at 1(alpha) or 1 (beta) position from arabinose, glucose, galactose and mannose, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
- 2. The method according to claim 1 wherein said compound is p-aminobenzoic acid-N-L-arabinoside.
- 3. The method according to claim 1 wherein said compound is sodium p-aminobenzoate-N-L-arabinoside.
- 4. The method according to claim 1 wherein said compound is p-aminobenzoic acid-N-D-glucoside.
- 5. The method according to claim 1 wherein said compound is sodium p-aminobenzoate-N-D-glucoside.
- 6. The method according to claim 1 wherein said compound is p-aminobenzoic acid-N-D-galactoside.
- 7. The method according to claim 1 wherein said compound is sodium p-aminobenzoate-N-D-galactoside.
- 8. The method according to claim 1 wherein said compound is p-aminobenzoic acid-N-D-mannoside.
- 9. The method according to claim 1 wherein said compound is sodium p-aminobenzoate-N-D-mannoside.
- 10. A method for the treatment of inflammatory diseases, which comprises administering to an animal suffering from infammatory diseases an effective amount of a compound of the formula: ##STR5## wherein R.sup.1 denotes one member selected from the group consisting of the residual groups formed by removing OH at 1(alpha) or 1 (beta) position from arabinose, glucose, galactose and mannose, or a pharamaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
- 11. The method according to claim 10 wherein said compound is p-aminobenzoic acid-N-L-arabinoside.
- 12. The method according to claim 10 wherein said compound is sodium p-aminobenzoate-N-L-arabinoside.
- 13. The method according to claim 10 wherein said compound is p-aminobenzoic acid-N-D-glucoside.
- 14. The method according to claim 10 wherein said compound is sodium p-aminobenzoate-N-D-glucoside.
- 15. The method according to claim 10 wherein said compound is p-aminobenzoic acid-N-D-galactoside.
- 16. The method according to claim 10 wherein said compound is sodium p-aminobenzoate-N-D-galactoside.
- 17. The method according to claim 10 wherein said compound is sodium p-aminobenzoic acid-N-D-mannoside.
- 18. The method according to claim 10 wherein said compound is sodium p-aminobenzoate-N-D-mannoside.
- 19. A method for the treatment of pains and pyrexia due to the accentuation of central nerve, which comprises administering to an animal suffering from pains due to the accentuation of central nerve an effective amount of a compound of the formula: ##STR6## wherein R.sup.1 denotes one member selected from the group consisting of the residual groups formed by removing OH at 1(alpha) or 1(beta) position from arabinose, glucose, galactose and mannose, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
- 20. The method according to claim 19 wherein said compound is p-aminobenzoic acid-N-L-arabinoside.
- 21. The method according to claim 19 wherein said compound is sodium p-aminobenzoate-N-L-arabinoside.
- 22. The method according to claim 19 wherein said compound is p-aminovbenzoic acid-N-D-glucoside.
- 23. The method according to claim 19 wherein said compound is sodium p-aminobenzoate-N-D-glucoside.
- 24. The method according to claim 19 wherein said compound is p-aminobenzoic acid--D-galactoside.
- 25. The method according to claim 19 wherein said compound is sodium p-aminobenzoate-N-D-galactoside.
- 26. The method according to claim 19 wherein said compound is sodium p-aminobenzoic acid-N-D-mannoside.
- 27. The method according to claim 19 wherein said compound is sodium p-aminobenzoate-N-D-manoside.
