Claims
- 1. A method for the treatment of hyperglycemia, which comprises administering to a patient suffering therefrom a pharmaceutically effective amount of p-aminobenzoic acid N-D-xyloside or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
- 2. A method according to claim 1 wherein the pharmaceutically acceptable salt is the sodium salt.
- 3. A method according to claim 2 wherein the sodium salt is administered orally in an amount from about 1 to 500 mg per kg per day.
- 4. A method according to claim 2 wherein the sodium salt is administered parenterally in an amount from about 0.01 to about 200 mg per kg per day.
- 5. A method for the treatment of hyperlipemia, which comprises administering to a patient suffering therefrom a pharmaceutically effective amount of p-aminobenzoic acid N-D-xyloside or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
- 6. A method according to claim 5 wherein the pharmaceutically acceptable salt is the sodium salt.
- 7. A method according to claim 6 wherein the sodium salt is administered orally in a amount from about 1 to 500 mg per kg per day.
- 8. A method according to claim 6 wherein the sodium salt is administered in an amount from about 0.01 to about 200 mg per kg per day.
- 9. A method for the treatment of inflammatory diseases, which comprises administering to a patient suffering therefrom a pharmaceutically effective amount of p-aminobenzoic acid N-D-xyloside or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
- 10. A method according to claim 9 wherein the pharmaceutically acceptable salt is the sodium salt.
- 11. A method according to claim 9 wherein the sodium salt is administered orally in an amount from about 1 to 500 mg per kg per day.
- 12. A method according to claim 10 wherein the sodium salt is administered in an amount from about 0.01 to about 200 mg per kg per day.
- 13. A method for the treatment of pains due to the accentuation of central nerve, which comprises administering to a patient suffering therefrom a pharmaceutically effective amount of p-aminobenzoic acid N-D-xyloside or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
- 14. A method according to claim 13 wherein the pharmaceutically acceptable salt is the sodium salt.
- 15. A method according to claim 14 wherein the sodium salt is administered orally in an amount from about 1 to 500 mg per kg per day.
- 16. A method according to claim 14 wherein the sodium salt is administered in an amount from about 0.01 to about 200 mg per kg per day.
- 17. A method for the treatment of pyrexia due to the accentuation of central nerve, which comprises administering to a patient suffering therefrom a pharmaceutically effective amount of p-aminobenzoic acid N-D-xyloside or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
- 18. A method according to claim 17 wherein the pharmaceutically acceptable salt is the sodium salt.
- 19. A method according to claim 18 wherein the sodium salt is administered orally in an amount from about 1 to 500 mg per kg per day.
- 20. A method according to claim 18 wherein the sodium salt is administered in an amount from about 0.01 to about 200 mg per kg per day.
- 21. A pharmaceutical composition in dosage unit form which comprises a dosage of p-aminobenzoic acid N-D-xyloside or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof effective for the treatment of hyperglycemia.
- 22. A composition according to claim 21 wherein the pharmaceutically acceptable salt is the sodium salt.
- 23. A pharmaceutical composition is dosage unit form which comprises a dosage of p-aminobenzoic acid N-D-xyloside or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof effective for the treatment of hyperlipemia.
- 24. A composition according to claim 23 wherein the pharmaceutically acceptable salt is the sodium salt.
- 25. A pharmaceutical composition in dosage unit form which comprises a dosage of p-aminobenzoic acid N-D-xyloside or pharmaceutically acceptale salt thereof effective for the treatment of inflammatory diseases.
- 26. A composition according to claim 25 wherein the pharmaceutically acceptable salt is the sodium salt.
- 27. A pharmaceutical composition in dosage unit form which comprises a dosage of p-aminobenzoic acid N-D-xyloside or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof effective for the treatment of pains due to the accentuation of central nerve.
- 28. A composition according to claim 27 wherein the pharmaceutically acceptable salt is the sodium salt.
- 29. A pharmaceutical composition in dosage unit form which comprises a dosage of p-aminobenzoic acid N-D-xyloside or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof effective for the treatment of pyrexia due to the accentuation of central nerve.
- 30. A composition according to claim 29 wherein the pharmaceutically acceptable salt is the sodium salt.
