Claims
- 1. A resinous polymer of a monomer selected from imides having the structure ##STR6## or from imides having the structure ##STR7## wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, chloro and lower alkyls; R.sub.3 is the amino group or the imide group ##STR8## X is a valence bond or X is a divalent linking radical selected from the group consisting of --O--, --S--, ##STR9## --SO.sub.2 -- and --C.sub.n H.sub.2n -- wherein n is 1, 2, or 3.
- 2. A resinous polymer of a monomeric imide having the structure ##STR10## wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are selected from the class consisting of chloro, lower alkyls and hydrogen and R.sub.3 is the amino group or an imide group ##STR11##
- 3. The resinous polymer of claim 2 wherein R.sub.3 is the amino group.
- 4. The resinous polymer of claim 3 wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are each hydrogen.
- 5. The resinous polymer of claim 2 wherein R.sub.3 is a ##STR12## imide group.
- 6. The resinous polymer of claim 5 wheein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are each hydrogen.
- 7. A resinous polymer of a monomeric imide having the structure ##STR13## wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are selected from the class consisting of hydrogen, chloro, and lower alkyls; R.sub.3 is the amino group or the imide group ##STR14## X is a valence bond or X is a divalent linking radical selected from the group consisting of --O--, --S--, ##STR15## --SO.sub.2 and --C.sub.n H.sub.2n -- wherein n is 1, 2, or 3.
- 8. The resinous polymer of claim 7 wherein R.sub.3 is the amino group.
- 9. The resinous polymer of claim 8 wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are each hydrogen.
- 10. The resinous polymer of claim 9 wherein X is ##STR16##
- 11. The resinous polymer of claim 7 wherein R.sub.3 is a ##STR17## imide group.
- 12. The resinous polymer of claim 11 wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are each hydrogen.
- 13. The resinous polymer of claim 12 wherein X is ##STR18##
