Claims
- 1. A photographic film cassette assembly having a spool for winding a photographic film in a roll, said spool including a spool shaft and a pair of flanges mounted on said spool shaft, and a cassette adapted to rotatably contain said spool therein and provided with a film passage mouth for passing photographic film therethrough, said photographic film cassette assembly further comprising:
- inwardly molded pressing means for deforming at least one of said flanges inwardly toward said roll of photographic film so that both axial end portions of the outermost periphery of said roll of photographic film are clamped between said pair of flanges, such hat, when said spool is rotated in an unwinding direction, said roll of film is rotated together with said spool in order to feed out a leader of said photographic film from said film passage mouth.
- 2. A photographic film cassette assembly as claimed in claim 1, wherein said pressing means comprises a projection formed on at least one side surface of said cassette, said projection elastically deforming one of said flanges toward the other.
- 3. A photographic film cassette assembly as claimed in claim 1, further including at least one projection located between said pair of flanges, said projection projecting toward said spool shaft, and having an inner diameter smaller than an outer diameter of an external peripheral end of said flanges, said projection restricting an outermost peripheral portion of said roll of photographic film so that said outermost peripheral portion does not enter a space defined between said external peripheral end of said flanges and an inner axial end wall of said cassette body.
- 4. A photographic film cassette assembly as claimed in claim 1, wherein said pressing means elastically deforms a part of a selected one of said pair of flanges toward the other flange.
- 5. A photographic film cassette assembly as claimed in claim 1, wherein said pressing means comprises at least one groove formed within said cassette, said groove elastically deforming one of said flanges, rotatably engaged within said groove, toward the other flange.
- 6. A photographic film cassette assembly as claimed in claim 1, wherein said pressing means is formed by making the distance between said pair of flanges shorter than the width of said photographic film.
- 7. A photographic film cassette assembly as claimed in claim 1, further comprising means for retaining said leader in a vicinity of said film passage mouth.
- 8. A photographic film cassette assembly as claimed in claim 1, further comprising a light shielding plate having an elastic nature and adapted to prevent light from entering the interior of said cassette, said light shielding plate being disposed in a vicinity of said film passage mouth.
- 9. A photographic film cassette assembly having a spool for winding an unexposed photographic film in a roll, said spool including a spool shaft and a pair of flanges mounted on said spool shaft, and a cassette adapted to rotatably contain said spool therein and provided with a film passage mouth for passing photographic film therethrough, said photographic film cassette assembly further comprising:
- inwardly molded pressing means for deforming at least one of said flanges inwardly toward said roll of photographic film so that both axial end portions of the outermost periphery of said roll of photographic film are clamped between said pair of flanges, such that, when said spool is rotated in an unwinding direction, said roll of film is rotated together with said spool in order to feed out a leader of said photographic film from said film passage mouth; and
- light shielding means for shielding said unexposed photographic film from exposure to light while said film exists in said cassette.
