The present invention relates to a pickleball paddle, and more particularly to a pickleball paddle capable of reducing stress concentration.
Pickleball is a very popular sport in Europe and the United States in recent years. Pickleball is a paddle sport that combines elements of tennis, table tennis and badminton sports. Pickleball has the advantages of fun, entertainment, diversified gameplay and strong adaptability, so it has gradually become popular in the world.
In a pickleball game, players keep hitting a ball with a pickleball paddle. A conventional pickleball paddle includes a grip and a paddle body. The paddle body is connected to the front end of the grip. In order to provide better explosive force when hitting the ball, the paddle body is made of carbon fiber or glass fiber material. This fiber material is a material with excellent specific modulus and specific strength, which has good strength and light weight. However, the hardness of this fiber material is relatively great, which will cause stress concentration to damage the paddle body when hitting the ball, affect the player to hit the ball and bring the player an uncomfortable experience.
In view of the drawbacks of the prior art, the primary object of the present invention is to provide a pickleball paddle capable of reducing stress concentration. The pickleball paddle can reduce the stress concentration generated by the paddle body effectively when hitting a ball, prevent the paddle body from being damaged, and does not affect the effect of hitting the ball. The pickleball paddle brings the player comfort and good experience.
In order to achieve the above object, the present invention adopts the following technical solutions.
A pickleball paddle comprises a grip and a paddle body. The paddle body includes a ball-hitting portion and a reduced portion. The grip is connected to the reduced portion. The reduced portion of the paddle body has a through hole for reducing stress concentration. The through hole is arranged symmetrically relative to a central axis of the grip. The through hole is located in the reduced portion and passes through the reduced portion.
Preferably, the through hole is a slot passing through the central axis and extending laterally.
Preferably, the through hole includes an upper through hole and a lower through hole. The upper through hole is farther from the grip than the lower through hole and is located above the lower through hole. The upper through hole has an area greater than that of the lower through hole.
Preferably, the reduced portion further has a plurality of apertures for releasing stress. The apertures are arranged symmetrically relative to the central axis of the grip, and the apertures are distributed above the upper through hole.
Preferably, the upper through hole has an arc-shaped top edge, and the apertures are arranged in an arc around the top edge of the upper through hole.
Alternatively, the through hole includes two through holes that are arranged symmetrically relative to the central axis of the grip.
Preferably, the through hole is gradually reduced downward.
Preferably, the reduced portion is gradually reduced downwardly.

The reduced portion of the paddle body has the through hole for reducing stress concentration. The through hole is arranged symmetrically relative to the central axis of the grip. The paddle body 20 includes a ball-hitting portion 21 and a reduced portion 22. The grip 10 is connected to the reduced portion 22. The reduced portion 22 of the paddle body 20 has a through hole 23 for reducing stress concentration. The through hole 23 is arranged symmetrically relative to the central axis of the grip 10. The through hole 23 is located in the reduced portion 22 and passes through the reduced portion 22. In this embodiment, the through hole 23 is a slot passing through the central axis and extending laterally. The through hole 23 includes an upper through hole 231 and a lower through hole 232. The upper through hole 231 is farther from the grip 10 than the lower through hole 232 and is located above the lower through hole 232. The area of the upper through hole 231 is greater than that of the lower through hole 232. The area of the upper through hole 231 is greater than that of the lower through hole 232, so that the internal stress of the paddle body 20 is gradually reduced. The process of reducing internal stress is more stable, which doesn't affect the player to hit a ball and brings the player comfort and good experience. The number of the upper through hole 231 is one. In addition, the reduced portion 22 is gradually reduced downwardly.
The working principle of this embodiment is described in detail below.
When the paddle body 20 hits a ball, the ball is in contact with the paddle body 20 and causes stress concentration inside the paddle body 20. Because the reduced portion 22 of the paddle body 20 has the through hole 23, the internal stress of the paddle body 20 is not concentrated in one point or a narrow area, but is dispersed to the peripheral edge of the through hole 23 to be gradually dissipated.
The working principle of the second embodiment is the same as that of the first embodiment, and will not be described in detail hereinafter.
The apertures 24 are configured to release the internal stress of the paddle body 20, so that the process of reducing the internal stress is more stable.

The feature of the present invention is that the reduced portion of the paddle body has the through hole for reducing stress concentration. The through hole is arranged symmetrically relative to the central axis of the grip. When the paddle body hits a ball, the through hole reduces the stress concentration inside the racket effectively, prevents the paddle body from being damaged, and does not affect the effect of hitting the ball. The pickleball paddle brings the player comfort and good experience.
