The present invention relates to a pistol dart game that uses a handheld pistol that ejects a dart.

Various games exist for individuals to enjoy during their leisure time. One exemplary game includes darts, which involves a board and a handheld dart that is tossed onto the board by a player. Accuracy is an important aspect with of the game of darts. In fact, various scoring can be accomplished based upon where the dart strikes on the dartboard. One drawback to a typical dart game is that there is a need to retrieve darts from the board and occasionally players fail to strike the dartboard and the dart may fall on the ground. As a result, it would be advantageous to have a similar board game involving a dart projectile, where the retrieval of the dart is automated for the user.
The present invention relates to a dart game system that includes: a dart projecting pistol; a dart; a string attached to one end of the dart; a spool, where the spool stores the string prior to launching the dart towards a target; and a bracket that secures the spool to the dart projecting pistol. The pistol may include a barrel, a spring within the barrel, a hammer, a trigger, a trigger guard and a grip. Preferably, the target is a game board, where the game board includes a plurality of spaces representing aspects of a dart game. The plurality of spaces may include a number or a letter designated on each space.
The present invention relates to a dart game that is played with the use of a handheld pistol that projects the dart for the user. The present invention therefore provides a handheld dart pistol that projects a dart for use in a dart game, where the dart is retrievable through a line provided on a spool of the gun. This pistol with spool helps the players to retrieve their darts and eliminates some of the hassle of the conventional dart game. The instant invention has been shown and described in what it considers to be the most practical and preferred embodiments. It is recognized, however, that departures may be made there from within the scope of the invention and that obvious modifications will occur to a person skilled in the art.
