Claims
- 1. An optically isotropic pitch-based activated carbon fiber having pores with radii in the range of 0.15 to 2.5 nm. and having a specific surface area of at least 500 m.sup.2 /g and a fractal dimension of the pore structure obtained by a transmission electron microscope method in the range of 2.1 to 2.9.
- 2. An optically isotropic pitch-based activated carbon fiber having pores with radii in the range of 0.15 to 2.5 nm, and having a specific surface area of 500 m.sup.2 /g to 3,500 m.sup.2 /g and a fractal dimension of the pore structure obtained by a transmission electron microscope method in the range of 2.1 to 2.9.
