Claims
- 1. A plant package, comprising a potted plant and a sleeve disposed about the potted plant, the sleeve initially having a flattened condition, and comprising in the flattened condition: a sidewall portion having a tapered shape, and a convexly curved lower end having a gusset portion having a curved inner fold therein, and in an opened condition the sleeve having a generally frusto-conical shape for substantially covering a pot of the potted plant.
- 2. The plant package of claim 1 wherein the sleeve in the opened condition substantially conforms to a circumferential curvature of a bottom surface of the pot when the pot is disposed in the sleeve.
- 3. The plant package of claim 1 wherein the sleeve forms a decorative cover when disposed about the pot.
- 4. The plant package of claim 1 wherein the sleeve is connected to the pot.
- 5. The plant package of claim 1 wherein the sleeve is constructed from a material selected from the group consisting of treated or untreated paper, metal foil, polymeric film, non-polymeric film, cardboard, fiber, cloth, burlap, and laminations or combinations thereof.
- 6. The plant package of claim 1 wherein the sleeve further comprises an upper portion which is detachable via a detaching element in the sleeve.
- 7. The plant package of claim 1 wherein the sleeve is constructed from a material having a thickness of from 0.1 mil to abut 30 mils.
- 8. The plant package of claim 1 wherein the sleeve has a decorative pattern or design thereon.
- 9. The plant package of claim 1 wherein the sleeve has a curved upper end.
