Claims
- 1. A process for making an epoxide polymer, said process comprising polymerizing an epoxide in the presence of a synthetic plastic foam-supported double metal cyanide catalyst.
- 2. The process of claim 1 wherein the double metal cyanide catalyst is a zinc hexacyanocobaltate.
- 3. The process of claim 1 wherein the epoxide is selected from the group consisting of ethylene oxide, propylene oxide, butylene oxides, and mixtures thereof.
- 4. The process of claim 1 wherein the foam-supported double metal cyanide catalyst is recovered from the epoxide polymer and is reused as an epoxide polymerization catalyst.
