Claims
- 1. A method for producing a plastic heel for shoes or boots in which the heel has a surface with an irregular figure, said irregular figure being a copy of leather or leather-like material, the method comprising the steps of:
- covering a master model formed in a predetermined heel shape with leather or leather-like material, the leather or leather-like material having a surface with the irregular figure;
- depositing electroconductive material on the surface of the covered master model and thereafter subjecting the master model to electroforming treatment to form a mold having an inner surface with the reverse of the irregular figure of the leather or leather-like material; and
- molding the heel from plastic material to have a surface with the irregular figure of the leather or leather-like material copied from the mold.
- 2. A method as in claim 1, wherein the electroconductive material is deposited on the surface of the covered master model by non-electrolytic plating, and the master model is subjected to electrolytic plating to form the mold with the inner surface having the reversed irregular figure of the leather or leather-like material.
- 3. A method as in claim 2, wherein the master model is subjected to copper electrolytic plating.
- 4. A method as in claim 2, wherein the master model is subjected to nickel electrolytic plating.
- 5. A method as in claim 2, wherein the master model is subjected to steel electrolytic plating.
- 6. A method as in claim 1, wherein the electroconductive material is formed by effecting silver mirror reaction, and the master model is subjected to electrolytic plating to form the mold with the inner surface having the reversed irregular figure of the leather or leather-like material.
- 7. A method as in claim 6, wherein the silver mirror reaction comprises the steps of:
- cleaning the surface of the leather or leather-like material;
- dipping the clothed or covered master model into tin dichloride solution containing hydrochloric acid in a predetermined amount for 1 to 5 minutes; and
- washing with water, silver nitrate solution, hydrazine sulfate solution containing sodium hydroxide solution or formalin, and water.
- 8. A method as in claim 6, wherein the master model is subjected to copper electrolytic plating.
- 9. A method as in claim 6, wherein the master model is subjected to nickel electrolytic plating.
- 10. A method as in claim 6 wherein the master model is subjected to steel electrolytic plating.
