The plate cylinder according to claim 1, further comprising a second leaf having a first end and a second end, the second leaf connected to the bar at the first end, the second end of the second leaf engaging the second end region of the first leaf, the first leaf removable by disengaging the second end region from the second end and moving the first end region to causing disconnection of said bar and said second end region.
- 6. A plate cylinder for fastening a printing plate having a posterior end and an anterior end, the plate cylinder having a longitudinal axis of rotation, the plate cylinder comprising:
- an external surface, the plate cylinder having a longitudinal bore and a longitudinal slit, the longitudinal slit having a first mouth and a second mouth, the first mouth opening along the external surface of the plate cylinder and the second mouth opening along the longitudinal bore;
- the longitudinal slit defining a rear side and a front side, the rear side of the longitudinal slit connecting with the external surface of the printing plate to form a spur for fastening the anterior end of the printing plate;
- a first leaf having a first end region and a second end region, the first leaf located in the longitudinal slit, the first end region for contacting the posterior end of the printing plate; and
- a bar located at least partially in the longitudinal bore, the first leaf removably connected to the bar at the second end region of the first leaf, the bar capable of moving the first leaf between a first limiting position and a second limiting position;
- the first leaf being removable through the slit, wherein the first leaf has a longitudinal groove in a face of the leaf, which corresponds to a longitudinal rib on an opposing face.
- 7. The plate cylinder as recited in claim 6 further comprising a second leaf having a first end and a second end; the second leaf fixedly connected to the bar at the first end, the second leaf second end engaging the first leaf at the longitudinal groove.
- 8. The plate cylinder as recited in claim 7 wherein the second leaf has a U-shaped intermediate section.
- 9. The plate cylinder as recited in claim 7 wherein the second leaf is a spring leaf.
- 10. The plate cylinder as recited in claim 7 further comprising a stop plate fixedly connected to the bar at one end and having a facet at the other end, the facet engaging the rib of the leaf.
- 11. The plate cylinder as recited in claim 6 further comprising a stop plate fixedly connected to the bar at one end and having a facet at the other end, the facet engaging the rib of the leaf.
- 12. The plate cylinder as recited in claim 6 wherein the groove is V-shaped.
- 13. A plate cylinder for fastening a printing plate having a posterior end and an anterior end, the plate cylinder having a longitudinal axis of rotation, the plate cylinder comprising:
- an external surface, the plate cylinder having a longitudinal bore and a longitudinal slit, the longitudinal slit having a first mouth and a second mouth, the first mouth opening along the external surface of the plate cylinder and the second mouth opening along the longitudinal bore;
- the longitudinal slit defining a rear side and a front side, the rear side of the longitudinal slit connecting with the external surface of the printing plate to form a spur for fastening the anterior end of the printing plate;
- a first leaf having a first end region and a second end region, the first leaf located in the longitudinal slit, the first end region for contacting the posterior end of the printing plate;
- a bar located at least partially in the longitudinal bore, the first leaf removably connected to the bar at the second end region of the first leaf, the bar capable of moving the first leaf between a first limiting position and a second limiting position, the bar being a longitudinal tension bar, the tension bar pivotable about a longitudinal pivot axis located between an axis of rotation of the plate cylinder and the longitudinal slit; and
