Abstract
The present invention relates generally to the field of toys. More specifically, the present invention relates to a plush toy device. The device is primarily comprised of a humanoid body with at least one accessory that may be attached via at least one fastener. Further, the device is comprised of at least one torso garment, at least one leg garment, and other accessories such as hats, glasses, jewelry, etc. The device is further comprised of at least one speaker that can play the celebrity's catchphrase, song, saying, name, etc. Further, the speaker is powered by at least one battery. The device provides users with a unique collectible plush toy that resembles their favorite celebrity. Further, it provides users with a way to customize the device with interchangeable accessories that are representative of the respective celebrity.
Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates generally to the field of toys. More specifically, the present invention relates to a plush toy device. The device is primarily comprised of a humanoid body with at least one accessory that may be attached via at least one fastener. Further, the device is comprised of at least one torso garment, at least one leg garment, and other accessories such as hats, glasses, jewelry, etc. The device is further comprised of at least one speaker that can play the celebrity's catchphrase, song, saying, name, etc. Further, the speaker is powered by at least one battery. Further, the device may be comprised of a transmitter that is in electrical communication with a mobile application. The mobile application allows a user to be able to control the speaker remotely. The device provides users with a unique collectible plush toy that resembles their favorite celebrity. Further, it provides users with a way to customize the device with interchangeable accessories that are representative of the respective celebrity. Accordingly, the present disclosure makes specific reference thereto. Nonetheless, it is to be appreciated that aspects of the present invention are also equally applicable to other like applications, devices, and methods of manufacture.


BACKGROUND

By way of background, celebrities are ingrained in many aspects of their fans' lives. Because of this, many children look up to celebrities such as musicians, athletes, actors, pop-culture figures, etc. Fans support celebrities by watching their shows, games, concerts, movies, etc. There are many ways to support an individual's favorite celebrity, but not one that involves plush toys. Plush toys are among the most popular toys with collectors and children. The ability to collect plush toys that resemble celebrities is non-existent in the toy market today. In addition, individuals may not be able to attend live performances or appearances of a celebrity or other individual, and as a result desire a similar experience.


Therefore, there exists a long-felt need in the art for a plush toy device that resembles a celebrity. There also exists a long-felt need in the art for a collectible plush toy of celebrities that entices collectors and children alike. There also exists a long-felt need in the art for a plush toy that resembles celebrities that has removable customized accessories. There also exists a long-felt need in the art for a plush toy device that can recite the respective celebrity's saying, catchphrases, songs, or names via a speaker. Further, there exists a long-felt need in the art for a plush toy device that can mimic a live experience with a celebrity, character, person, etc.


The subject matter disclosed and claimed herein, in one embodiment thereof, comprises a plush toy device. The device is primarily comprised of a humanoid body with at least one accessory that may be attached via at least one fastener. Further, the device is comprised of at least one torso garment, at least one leg garment, and other accessories such as hats, glasses, jewelry, etc. The device is further comprised of at least one speaker that can play the celebrity's catchphrase, song, saying, name, etc. Further, the speaker is powered by at least one battery. In a different embodiment, the device is made from a ridged waterproof plastic material.


In this manner, the plush toy device of the present invention accomplishes all of the foregoing objectives and provides a novel plush toy device that resembles a celebrity's physical likeness. Further, the device is comprised of customized interchangeable accessories that are unique to the respective celebrity. Further, the device that can mimic a live experience with a celebrity, character, person, etc.


SUMMARY

The following presents a simplified summary in order to provide a basic understanding of some aspects of the disclosed innovation. This summary is not an extensive overview, and it is not intended to identify key/critical elements or to delineate the scope thereof. Its sole purpose is to present some general concepts in a simplified form as a prelude to the more detailed description that is presented later.


The subject matter disclosed and claimed herein, in one embodiment thereof, comprises a plush toy device. The device is primarily comprised of a humanoid body with at least one accessory that may be attached via at least one fastener. Further, the device is comprised of at least one torso garment, at least one leg garment, and other accessories such as hats, glasses, jewelry, etc. The device is also comprised of at least one speaker that can play the celebrity's catchphrase, song, saying, name, etc. Further, the speaker is powered by at least one battery.


In one embodiment, the device is comprised of a transmitter that is in electrical communication with a mobile application. This allows a user to be able to control the speaker of the device remotely. This allows for further customization of the device by providing a user with a way to customize what the speaker produces and how loud it produces without manually operating the speaker.


In one embodiment, the device may be comprised of a stand, at least one connection member, further comprised of at least one fastener. The connection members attach to the stand via fasteners and can allow the user to place the device in a plurality of positions.


Accordingly, the plush toy device of the present invention is particularly advantageous as it provides individuals with a unique collectible plush toy that resembles celebrities. Further, the device provides users with a plush toy that resembles a celebrity with interchangeable and customizable accessories that relate to that celebrity. In this manner, the plush toy device overcomes the limitations of existing toys known in the art.


Numerous benefits and advantages of this device will become apparent to those skilled in the art to which it pertains, upon reading and understanding the following detailed specification.


To the accomplishment of the foregoing and related ends, certain illustrative aspects of the disclosed innovation are described herein in connection with the following description and the annexed drawings. These aspects are indicative, however, of but a few of the various ways in which the principles disclosed herein can be employed and are intended to include all such aspects and their equivalents. Other advantages and novel features will become apparent from the following detailed description when considered in conjunction with the drawings.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

The innovation is now described with reference to the drawings, wherein like reference numerals are used to refer to like elements throughout. In the following description, for purposes of explanation, numerous specific details are set forth in order to provide a thorough understanding thereof. It may be evident, however, that the innovation can be practiced without these specific details. In other instances, well-known structures and devices are shown in block diagram form in order to facilitate a description thereof. Various embodiments are discussed hereinafter. It should be noted that the figures are described only to facilitate the description of the embodiments. They are not intended as an exhaustive description of the invention and do not limit the scope of the invention. Additionally, an illustrated embodiment need not have all the aspects or advantages shown. Thus, in other embodiments, any of the features described herein from different embodiments may be combined.


As noted above, there exists a long-felt need in the art for a plush toy device that resembles a celebrity. There also exists a long-felt need in the art for a collectible plush toy of celebrities that entices collectors and children alike. There also exists a long-felt need in the art for a plush toy that resembles celebrities that has removable customized accessories. There also exists a long-felt need in the art for a plush toy device that can recite the respective celebrity's saying, catchphrases, songs, or names via speaker. Further, there exists a long-felt need in the art for a plush toy device that can mimic a live experience with a celebrity, character, person, etc.


The present invention, in one exemplary embodiment, comprises a plush toy device. The device is primarily comprised of a humanoid body with at least one accessory that may be attached via at least one fastener. Further, the device is comprised of at least one torso garment, at least one leg garment, and other accessories such as hats, glasses, jewelry, etc. The device is further comprised of at least one speaker that can play the celebrity's catchphrase, song, saying, name, etc. Further, the speaker is powered by at least one battery.


In one embodiment, the device is comprised of a transmitter that is in electrical communication with a mobile application. This allows a user to be able to control the speaker of the device remotely. This allows for further customization of the device by providing a user with a way to customize what the speaker produces and how loud it produces without having to manually operate the speaker.


In one embodiment, the device may be comprised of a stand, at least one connection member, further comprised of at least one fastener. The connection members attach to the stand via fasteners and can allow the user to place the device in a plurality of positions.


Accordingly, the plush toy of the present invention is particularly advantageous as it provides a device that allows a user to support their favorite celebrities by purchasing plush dolls that resemble their physical characteristics. In the preferred embodiment, the device is comprised of removable accessories that allow users to customize their device to their specifications. In this manner, the plush toy device provides a novel plush toy that resembles the physical likeness of a specific celebrity.


Referring initially to the drawings, FIG. 1 illustrates a front view of one potential embodiment of a plush toy device 100 of the present invention in accordance with the disclosed architecture. The device 100 is primarily comprised of a humanoid body 110 with at least one accessory 200. In different embodiments, the device 100 may resemble any celebrity, fictional character, person, family member, etc. Further, the device 100 is preferably comprised of at least one torso garment 210, at least one leg garment 220, and at least one fastener 300.


The body 110 may be made from any material known in the art such as, but not limited to, cotton prints, broadcloth, wool flannel, felt, fleece, polyester, etc. In one embodiment, the body 110 is further comprised of a waterproof material such as, but not limited to, polyester, nylon, pleather, laminated cotton, waxed cotton, etc. Further, the body 110 may be filled with any stuffing material known in the art such as, but not limited to, PP cotton, polyurethane, polypropylene, polyfill, wool, kapok fibers, etc. The body 110 further may be any size or shape known in the art.


The body 110 is comprised of a head 120 preferably comprised of hair 121, ears 122, eyes 124, a nose 126, and a mouth 128. The features of the head 120 are constructed to resemble the physical likeness of the celebrity (or another individual) that the device 100 is supposed to represent. The body 110 is further comprised of a torso 140, further comprised of arms 142, hands 144, legs 146, and feet 148. The torso 140 and its features of the torso 140 are constructed to resemble the physical likeness of the celebrity. Further, the head 120 is connected to the torso 140 via the neck 130. In the preferred embodiment, the device 100 is comprised of a zipper 132 (or other fastener known in the art) located on the torso 140 that allows a user to remove the stuffing from the device 100 and wash the outside of the device 100 as needed. Further, if the stuffing were to become old or tattered, the user can easily unzip the zipper 132 and replace the used stuffing with new stuffing.


In a differing embodiment, the device 100 may be made from a ridged or semi-ridged plastic such as, but not limited to, acrylic, polycarbonate, polyethylene, thermoplastic, acrylonitrile butadiene styrene, low-density polyethylene, medium-density polyethylene, high-density polyethylene, polyethylene terephthalate, polyvinyl chloride, polystyrene, polylactic acid, acetal, nylon, fiberglass, etc. In this embodiment, the device 100 is not stuffed but is either hollow or made from a solid plastic. Preferably, the plastic material that the device 100 is made from is a waterproof plastic. The waterproof plastic material may be any plastic material known in the art.


The device 100 may be comprised of a plurality of accessories 200 such as, but not limited to, at least one torso garment 210, at least one leg garment 220, at least one foot garment 260, at least one hat 230, glasses 240, and jewelry 250. In differing embodiments, the accessories 200 may be anything that relates to the celebrity that the device 100 is meant to represent (i.e., if the celebrity is a football player, there may be football-related accessories 200). The device 100 may be comprised of a plurality of torso garments 210 such as, but not limited to, shirts, jerseys, sweaters, coats, costumes, jackets, shoulder pads, etc. The device 100 may be comprised of a plurality of leg garments 220 such as, but not limited to, pants, shorts, capris, underwear, stockings, leggings, tights, etc. Further, the device 100 may be comprised of a plurality of foot garments 260 such as, but not limited to, shoes, sandals, socks, boots, heels, etc. The device 100 also may have a plurality of hats 230 or headwear such as, but not limited to, baseball hats, top hats, helmets, visors, masks, etc. Further, the device 100 may be comprised of a plurality of glasses 240 such as, but not limited to, eyeglasses, reading glasses, sunglasses, prescription glasses, etc. The device 100 also may be comprised of a plurality of jewelry 260 such as, but not limited to, necklaces, bracelets, rings, earrings, nose piercings, anklets, etc.


In the preferred embodiment, the accessories 200 may further be removable and interchangeable from the device 100 via at least one fastener 300. The accessories 200 may have at least one fastener 300 and wherein the body 110 has at least one reciprocating fastener 300 that allows the accessories 200 to be attached/detached with minimal effort. There may be a plurality of fasteners 300 such as, but not limited to, hook and loop, snap button, magnet, etc. Having interchangeable accessories 200 provides users with a way to customize their device 100 how they see fit. In a differing embodiment, the accessories 200 may be fixed to the body 110 of the device 100, preventing them from being removed or changed. This would prevent a user from losing smaller accessories 200.



FIG. 2 illustrates a side view of one potential embodiment of a plush toy device 100 of the present invention in accordance with the disclosed architecture. The device 100 is further comprised of at least one speaker 310 and at least one battery 320. The speaker 310 may be any speaker 310 known in the art. In the preferred embodiment, when a user applies pressure to the device 100, the speaker 310 produces a sound such as, but not limited to, the celebrity's song, catchphrase, voice, name, etc. The speaker 310 also may be comprised of a microphone 330 that allows a user to record anything they would like and have the speaker 310 play it back to them. Further, the user can access the speaker 310 by using the zipper 132 located on the torso 140 of the device 100. The speaker 310 is further powered by at least one battery 320. The battery 320 may be in the form of an alkaline, nickel-cadmium, nickel-metal hydride battery, etc., such as any 3V-12-volt DC battery 320 or other conventional battery 320 such as A, AA, AAA, etc., that supplies power to the speaker 310. Throughout this specification, the terms “battery” and “batteries” may be used interchangeably to refer to one or more wet or dry cells or batteries 320 of cells in which chemical energy is converted into electricity and used as a source of DC power. References to recharging or replacing batteries 320 may refer to recharging or replacing individual cells, individual batteries 320 of cells, or a package of multiple battery cells as is appropriate for any given battery 320 technology that may be used. In one embodiment, the battery 320 may be recharged by a USB port 322 such as, but not limited to, micro-USB, USB B, USB C, etc. The battery 320 may also be charged via any wireless charging method known in the art.


In one embodiment, the device 100 may be comprised of a transmitter 340. The transmitter 340 is further in electrical communication with a mobile application 350 allowing a user to be able to operate the device 100 remotely via a smart device such as, but not limited to, a smartphone. The mobile application 350 allows a user to turn on/off the speaker 310 and select what saying, phrase, song, or term the user wants the device 100 to play. In differing embodiments, the user may be able to select a multitude of options for the speaker 310 to play via the mobile application 350. In one embodiment, the mobile application 350 may permit a user to be able to change the volume level of the speaker 310. In another embodiment, the mobile application 350 may allow a user to record anything they want through their smart device, and it can be played back through the speaker 310 of the device 100.


In a further embodiment, the mobile application 350 has a plurality of other features. In one embodiment, the mobile application 350 is comprised of an artificial intelligence. The user can converse with the AI and ask a question into the microphone 330 wherein the AI then generates an answer to the question and plays the answer via the speaker 310 or from the smart device the mobile application 350 is installed on. Said answer may be in the voice of the celebrity, family member, character, person, etc. the device 100 is intended to represent. Said conversations may be recorded via the mobile application 350 and played back at a later time via the application 350 or the speaker 310 or displayed via text on the mobile application 350. A user may also speak into the microphone 330 to control functions and other applications on the smart device such as but not limited to playing music, opening other apps, controlling other functions of the smart device, create lists, etc. In one embodiment, the mobile application 350 can play an audiobook via the speaker 310. The user may also use and control the functions of the mobile application 350 via text input into the mobile application 350.


The transmitter 340 may be powered by at least one battery 342. The battery 342 may be in the form of an alkaline, nickel-cadmium, nickel-metal hydride battery, etc., such as any 3V-12-volt DC battery 342 or other conventional battery 342 such as A, AA, AAA, etc., that supplies power to the transmitter 340. Throughout this specification, the terms “battery” and “batteries” may be used interchangeably to refer to one or more wet or dry cells or batteries 342 of cells in which chemical energy is converted into electricity and used as a source of DC power. References to recharging or replacing batteries 342 may refer to recharging or replacing individual cells, individual batteries 342 of cells, or a package of multiple battery cells as is appropriate for any given battery 342 technology that may be used. In one embodiment, the battery 342 may be recharged by a USB port 344 such as, but not limited to, micro-USB, USB B, USB C, etc.


In one embodiment, the device 100 has at least one connection member 134 located on the back of the neck 130 and torso 140 of the body 110. This connection member 134 attaches to a stand 138 via at least one fastener 136. This allows collectors to be able to display the device 100 in a standing position. The connection member 132 is attached to the reciprocating fastener 136 on the stand. There is a plurality of fasteners 132 that may be used such as, but not limited to, hook and loop, snap button, magnetic, buckle, etc. The stand 138 may be any stand known in the art that holds the device 100 in a standing position. The stand 138 can be any material in the art such as, but not limited to, metal, wood, or preferably plastic. There can be a plurality of plastic materials such as, but not limited to: acrylic, polycarbonate, polyethylene, thermoplastic, acrylonitrile butadiene styrene, low-density polyethylene, medium-density polyethylene, high-density polyethylene, polyethylene terephthalate, polyvinyl chloride, polystyrene, polylactic acid, acetal, nylon, fiberglass, biodegradable plastic, etc.


In another embodiment, the connection members 134 may be located on the hands 144, arms 142, legs 146, and feet 148. This would allow the user to be able to attach the body 110 to the stand in a plurality of positions (i.e., if the celebrity is a baseball player, the user may be able to attach the body 110 in such a way, that it looks like it is swinging a baseball bat). In one embodiment, the device 100 is freestanding and may have weighted feet 148 to allow the device 100 to stay upright. Said feet 148 may receive (i.e., be filled with) any weighted compound.


Certain terms are used throughout the following description and claims to refer to particular features or components. As one skilled in the art will appreciate, different persons may refer to the same feature or component by different names. This document does not intend to distinguish between components or features that differ in name but not structure or function. As used herein “plush toy device” and “device” are interchangeable and refer to the plush toy device 100 of the present invention.


Notwithstanding the foregoing, the plush toy device 100 of the present invention and its various components can be of any suitable size and configuration as is known in the art without affecting the overall concept of the invention, provided that they accomplish the above-stated objectives. One of ordinary skill in the art will appreciate that the size, configuration, and material of the plush toy device 100 as shown in the FIGS. are for illustrative purposes only, and that many other sizes and shapes of the plush toy device 100 are well within the scope of the present disclosure. Although the dimensions of the plush toy device 100 are important design parameters for user convenience, the plush toy device 100 may be of any size, shape and/or configuration that ensures optimal performance during use and/or that suits the user's needs and/or preferences.


Various modifications and additions can be made to the exemplary embodiments discussed without departing from the scope of the present invention. While the embodiments described above refer to particular features, the scope of this invention also includes embodiments having different combinations of features and embodiments that do not include all of the described features. Accordingly, the scope of the present invention is intended to embrace all such alternatives, modifications, and variations as fall within the scope of the claims, together with all equivalents thereof.


What has been described above includes examples of the claimed subject matter. It is, of course, not possible to describe every conceivable combination of components or methodologies for purposes of describing the claimed subject matter, but one of ordinary skill in the art may recognize that many further combinations and permutations of the claimed subject matter are possible. Accordingly, the claimed subject matter is intended to embrace all such alterations, modifications and variations that fall within the spirit and scope of the appended claims. Furthermore, to the extent that the term “includes” is used in either the detailed description or the claims, such term is intended to be inclusive in a manner similar to the term “comprising” as “comprising” is interpreted when employed as a transitional word in a claim.

  • 1. A plush toy device comprising: a body;a head comprised of an ear, an eye, a nose and a mouth;a neck;a torso comprised of an arm having a hand;a leg comprised of a foot; andan accessory.
  • 2. The plush toy device of claim 1, wherein the plush toy device is comprised of a waterproof material.
  • 3. The plush toy device of claim 1, wherein the body is comprised of a stuffed body.
  • 4. The plush toy device of claim 1, wherein the accessory is removably attached to the body.
  • 5. A plush toy device comprising: a body;a head comprised of a hair, an ear, an eye, a nose and a mouth;a head garment positioned on the head;a neck;a torso comprised of an arm having a hand;a torso garment positioned on the torso;a leg;a leg garment;a foot;a foot garment;an accessory;a speaker; anda battery.
  • 6. The plush toy device of claim 5, wherein the torso garment is comprised of a shirt, a jersey, a sweater, a coat, a costume or a jacket.
  • 7. The plush toy device of claim 5, wherein the leg garment is comprised of a pant, a short, a capri, an underwear, a stocking, a legging or a tight.
  • 8. The plush toy device of claim 5, wherein the foot garment is comprised of a shoe, a sandal, a sock or a boot.
  • 9. The plush toy device of claim 5, wherein the head garment is comprised of a hat.
  • 10. The plush toy device of claim 5 further comprised of a pair of glasses.
  • 11. The plush toy device of claim 5 further comprised of a piece of jewelry.
  • 12. A plush toy device comprising: a body;a head comprised of a hair, an ear, an eye, a nose and a mouth;a neck;a torso comprised of an arm having a hand;a leg having a foot;an accessory;a speaker;a battery;a transmitter; anda mobile application.
  • 13. The plush toy device of claim 12, wherein the accessory is a torso garment, a leg garment, a footwear garment, a head garment, a pair of glasses or a piece of jewelry.
  • 14. The plush toy device of claim 13, wherein the accessory attaches to the plush toy device via a fastener.
  • 15. The plush toy device of claim 14, wherein the fastener is a hook and loop, a snap button or a magnet fastener.
  • 16. The plush toy device of claim 12, wherein the battery is comprised of a USB port.
  • 17. The plush toy device of claim 12, wherein the speaker is comprised of a microphone.
  • 18. The plush toy device of claim 12, wherein the transmitter is in electrical communication with the mobile application.
  • 19. The plush toy device of claim 18, wherein the mobile application allows a user to select a sound that is played from the speaker.
  • 20. The plush toy device of claim 12 further comprised of a stand that attaches to the body.
