Claims
- 1. A polyester multi-filament yarn of uneven thickness comprising a single filament having such a thickness unevenness that a denier ratio of a thicker portion to a thinner portion (thick-to-thin ratio) is more than 2.0 along the length thereof, wherein said yarn has a ratio of P50 to Pmax of less than 1/2, a primary yield strength of more than 1.2 g/d, and a breakage elongation of less than 33%,
- wherein P50 stands for a value corresponding to a period 50 cm on a spectrogram of the yarn obtained from a normal test of a Uster spectrograph, and Pmax stands for the maximum value thereof.
- 2. A polyester multi-filament yarn as defined by claim 1, wherein a boiling off water shrinkage of said yarn is less than 12%.
- 3. A polyester multi-filament yarn as defined by claim 1, wherein an interlacing point of said yarn is more than 40/m.
