Claims
- 1. A polyamide-ester having a recurring unit selected from the group consisting of
- and mixtures thereof wherein R, R.sup.1, and R.sup.2 are independently selected from the group consisting of alkyl, aryl, aralkyl, and cycloalkyl; n, m, and p each have an independent value of 0 to 4, inclusive; and D is selected from the group consisting of alkylene, arylene, and cycloalkylene.
- 2. A polyamide-ester according to claim 1 wherein the amide nitrogen linkages in said recurring units are in the para position relative to the other linkage in the same aromatic ring.
- 3. A polyamide-ester according to claim 2 wherein R, R.sup.1, and R.sup.2 are each alkyl; n, m, and p each have an independent value of 0 to 2, inclusive; and D is arylene.
- 4. A polyamide-ester according to claim 3 wherein n, m, and p are 0; and D is meta-phenylene.
