Claims
- 1. A polyurethane plastic comprising the reaction product of an isocyanate component with a polyetheresterol, said polyetheresterol comprising the condensation product of a polyfunctional carboxylic acid with alkanediols and etherdiols, said etherdiols corresponding to the formula: ##STR4## where m=1 to 3
- n.gtoreq.3 and
- R.sup.I, R.sup.II, R.sup.III and R.sup.IV are identical or different and, independently of one another, are hydrogen or C.sub.1 - to C.sub.4 -alkyl,
- the ratio between the ether and ester groups in the polyetheresterol being in the range of from 0.3:1 to 1.5:1, and the total amount of --OH groups in the alkanediols and etherdiols to the --COOH groups of the polyfunctional carboxylic acid reacted at a ratio of from 1.01:1 to 1.1:1.
- 2. The polyurethane of claim 1, comprising a polyurethane foam.
- 3. The polyurethane of claim 2, comprising a flexible polyurethane foam.
- 4. The polyurethane of claim 3, wherein the alkanediols comprise ethylene glycol and/or propylene glycol; and the etherdiols comprise tri- and/or polyethylene glycol and/or tri- and/or polypropylene glycol.
- 5. A process for the preparation of a polyurethane, comprising reacting an isocyanate component with a polyetheresterol, said polyetheresterol comprising simultaneously condensing a polyfunctional carboxylic acid with a mixture comprising alkanediols and etherdiols; or precondensing a polyfunctional carboxylic acid with alkanediols and subsequently metering in the etherdiols, said etherdiols being of the formula ##STR5## where m=1 to 3
- n.gtoreq.3 and
- R.sup.I, R.sup.II, R.sup.III and R.sup.IV are identical or different and, independently of one another, are hydrogen or C.sub.1 - to C.sub.4 -alkyl,
- wherein the ratio of the ether to ester groups in the polyetheresterol ranges from 0.3:1 to 1.5:1.
- 6. The process of claim 5, wherein the polyfunctional carboxylic acid is precondensed with the alkanediol; and, subsequently, the etherdiol is metered in.
- 7. The process of claim 6, wherein the molar ratio of all --OH groups to the --COOH groups ranges from 1.01:1 to 1.1:1.
- 8. The process of claim 7, wherein said polyurethane is a flexible polyurethane foam.
- 9. The process of claim 5, wherein the alkanediol comprises ethylene glycol and/or propylene glycol, and the etherdiol comprises a tri- and/or polyethylene glycol and/or a tri-and/or polypropylene glycol.
