Claims
- 1. A method of bonding one article to another by placing a polyimide in contact with and between the two articles, applying pressure to said articles and exposing the polyimide to heat while under pressure, wherein the improvement comprises utilizing as the polyimide a polymer having repeating units of the formula ##STR7## wherein n is 2 to about 20, the molecular weight of the polymer chain is about 5,000 to about 50,000 and the heating can be performed at temperatures below about 190.degree. C., whereas the molecular weight of the polymer increases when heated but retains the same repeating unit.
