Claims
- 1. A filter arrangement comprising;
a first, a second and a third electrode that are electrically isolated from one another, and wherein the first and the third electrode sandwich the second electrode; a plurality of bypass fuses including a first and a second bypass fuse, and wherein the first and the second bypass fuse are electrically isolated from each other; wherein the first bypass fuse is electrically coupled to the first electrode, and wherein the second bypass fuse is electrically coupled to the third electrode; and wherein the plurality of bypass fuses is at least electrically isolated from the second electrode.
- 2. The filter arrangement of claim 1, further comprising a material having predetermined properties, and wherein the material is at least maintained between the first, the second and the third electrode.
- 3. The filter arrangement of claim 2, further comprising at least a fourth and a fifth electrode;
wherein the material is at least maintained between the fourth and the fifth electrode; and wherein the second, the fourth and the fifth electrode are electrically coupled to one another.
- 4. The filter arrangement of claim 1, further comprising at least a fourth and a fifth electrode;
wherein the fourth and the fifth electrode sandwich the first, the second and the third electrode; and wherein the second, the fourth and the fifth electrode are electrically coupled to one another.
- 5. The filter arrangement of claim 4, further comprising a material, and wherein the material is at least maintained between the first, the second, the third, the fourth and the fifth electrode.
- 6. The filter arrangement of claim 3, practicable for providing at least a line-to-line capacitor and two line-to-ground capacitors to a circuit.
- 7. The filter arrangement of claim 5, practicable for providing at least a line-to-line capacitor and two line-to-ground capacitors to a circuit.
- 8. The filter arrangement of claim 5, wherein the second, the fourth and the fifth electrode are of substantially the same size;
wherein the first and the third electrode are of substantially the same size; and wherein the first and the third electrode are smaller than either the second, the fourth or the fifth electrode.
- 9. The filter arrangement of claim 3, wherein the second electrode is the central electrode of the filter arrangement.
- 10. The filter arrangement of claim 7, wherein the material is a material having either predominately dielectric properties, predominately ferrite properties, or predominately varistor properties.
- 11. A filter arrangement comprising;
a first and a second fuse that are electrically isolated from each other; a first and a second bypass electrode that are electrically isolated from each other; wherein the first fuse is electrically coupled to the first bypass electrode; wherein the second fuse is electrically coupled to the second bypass electrode; a grounding electrode arrange between the first bypass electrode and the second bypass electrode; and wherein the grounding electrode is at least electrically isolated from the first fuse, the second fuse, the first bypass electrode and the second bypass electrode.
- 12. The filter arrangement of claim 11, further comprising a material operable for spacing apart electrodes; and
wherein the material is comprised of any combination of materials taken from a group of materials consisting of a dielectric material, a ferromagnetic material, and a varistor material.
- 13. The filter arrangement of claim 12, wherein the grounding electrode is larger than at least the first bypass electrode.
- 14. The filter arrangement of claim 13, practicable for providing at least a line-to-line capacitor and two line-to-ground capacitors to a circuit.
- 15. A filter arrangement comprising;
a plurality of electrodes including at least a first, a second, a third, a fourth and a fifth electrode, and wherein the second electrode is sandwiched by the first and the third electrode, and wherein the fourth electrode is sandwiched by the third and the fifth electrode; at least a first and a second fuse that are electrically isolated from each other; wherein the first fuse is electrically coupled to the second electrode, and wherein the second fuse is electrically coupled to the fourth electrode; wherein the first, the third and the fifth electrode are electrically coupled to one another; and wherein the first, the third and the fifth electrode are electrically isolated from the second and the fourth electrode.
- 16. The filter arrangement of claim 15, practicable for providing at least a line-to-line capacitor and two line-to-ground capacitors to a circuit.
- 17. The filter arrangement of claim 16, wherein either the first fuse or the second fuse comprises a PTC material.
- 18. A filter arrangement comprising;
a plurality of material portions including at least a first, a second, a third, a fourth and a fifth material portion, and wherein each material portion of the plurality of material portions has predetermined electrical properties; a plurality of common electrodes that are electrically coupled to one another including at least a first, a second and a third common electrode; a first and a second bypass electrode that are electrically isolated from each other; wherein the first common electrode is stacked and coupled to the first material portion, and wherein the first bypass electrode is stacked and coupled to the second material portion, and wherein the second common electrode is stacked and coupled to the third material portion, and wherein the second bypass electrode is stacked and coupled to the fourth material portion and wherein the third common electrode is stacked and coupled to the fifth material portion; a first and a second fuse that are electrically isolated from each other; wherein the first fuse is electrically coupled to the first bypass electrode, and wherein the second fuse is electrically coupled to the second bypass electrode; and wherein the plurality of common electrodes is electrically isolated from the first and the second fuse.
- 19. The filter arrangement of claim 18, practicable for providing at least a line-to-line capacitor and two line-to-ground capacitors to a circuit.
- 20. The filter arrangement of claim 19, wherein either the first fuse or the second fuse comprises a PTC material; and
wherein the first and the second bypass electrode sandwich the second common electrode.
