Claims
- 1. A polyolefinic foam comprising polyolefin a gaseous blowing agent comprising volatile hydrocarbon, at least one fatty acid N-aliphatic alcohol amide, wherein the amide N is secondary or teritary, and an ester of a long chain fatty acid with a polyhydric alcohol, wherein said ester and said amide are present in said composition in a ratio of said ester to said amide of from about 0:1 to 10:1, and wherein the % LEL in a confined space and under static conditions is reduced below 50% after 2 days (48 hours) of aging time.
- 2. The polyolefinic foam of claim 1, wherein said ester and said amide are present in said composition in a ratio of said ester to said amide of about 2:1.
- 3. The foam of claim 1 wherein said gaseous blowing agent is hydrocarbon having from 1 to 6 carbons.
- 4. The foam of claim 1 wherein said gaseous blowing agent is propane.
- 5. The foam of claim 1 wherein said gaseous blowing agent comprises carbon dioxide and a hydrocarbon having from 1 to 6 carbons.
- 6. The foam of claim 1 wherein said gaseous blowing agent comprises about 25% carbon dioxide and about 75% hydrocarbon.
- 7. A polyolefinic foam comprising low density polyolefin; a gaseous blowing agent comprising carbon dioxide; glycerol monostearate; and satearamide monoethanolamine; wherein said ester and said amide are present in said foam in a ratio of said ester to said amide of about 2:1; and wherein the present LEL in a confined space and under state conditions is reduced below 50% after two days (48 hours) of aging time.
- 8. The foam of claim 7 wherein said blowing agent comprises about 25% carbon dioxide and about 73% hydrocarbon.
