Claims
- 1. A ferrule-tip for use with a pool cue stick, said ferrule-tip being of one piece and comprising an annular body extending upwardly and converging to form a rounded tip, said tip being used for striking a pool cue ball, and wherein said pool cue stick comprises:
an elongate body having a first end and a second end, wherein said body is progressively tapered so as to be more narrow towards said first end than said second end, said body comprising:
a shaft having a striking end region of said stick and a connecting end; a butt having a shaft connection end for being secured to said shaft at the connecting end of said shaft, and a handle connection end; and a handle being secured to said butt at said handle connection end of said butt and being the endmost member of said stick to be grasped by a player, and wherein said ferrule-tip is secured to said stick at said striking end region of said stick.
- 2. A ferrule-tip according to claim 1 wherein said ferrule-tip is a material selected from the group consisting of polyethylene, polypropylene, polycarbonate, acrylic, delrin, acetal, teflon, nylon, C-grade phenolic, ABS, vinyl, PVC, vivak, rubber and leather.
- 3. A ferrule-tip according to claim 5 wherein said ferrule-tip is secured to said stick at said striking end region.
- 4. A cue stick, comprising:
an elongate body having a first end and second end, wherein said body is progressively tapered so as to be more narrow towards said first end than said second end, said body comprising:
a shaft having a striking end of said stick and a non-striking end; and a one-piece ferrule-tip being disposed on the striking end region of said shaft, said ferrule-tip comprising an annular body which extends upwardly to form a rounded tip, said tip serving as a striking tip for striking a cue ball.
- 5. A cue stick according to claim 4 wherein said ferrule-tip is a material selected from the group consisting of polyethylene, polypropylene, polycarbonate, acrylic, delrin, acetal, teflon, nylon, C-grade phenolic, ABS, vinyl, PVC, vivak, rubber and leather.
- 6. A cue stick according to claim 4 wherein said non-striking end of said shaft comprises a butt having a shaft connection end for being secured to said shaft at the non-striking end of said shaft, and a handle connection end.
- 7. A cue stick according to claim 4 wherein said non-striking end of said shaft further comprises a handle being secured to said butt at said handle connection end of said butt and being the endmost member of said stick to be grasped by a player.
- 8. A cue stick for causing a cue ball to jump, comprising:
an elongate body having a first end and second end, wherein said body is progressively tapered so as to be more narrow towards said first end than said second end, said body comprising:
a shaft having a striking end of said stick and a non-striking end; and a one-piece ferrule-tip being disposed on the striking end region of said shaft, said ferrule-tip comprising an annular body which extends upwardly to form a rounded tip, said tip serving as a striking tip for striking a cue ball.
- 9. A cue stick according to claim 8 wherein said ferrule-tip is a material selected from the group consisting of polyethylene, polypropylene, polycarbonate, acrylic, delrin, acetal, teflon, nylon, C-grade phenolic, ABS, vinyl, PVC, vivak, rubber and leather.
- 10. A cue stick according to claim 8 wherein said non-striking end of said shaft comprises a butt having a shaft connection end for being secured to said shaft at the non-striking end of said shaft, and a handle connection end.
- 11. A cue stick according to claim 8 wherein said non-striking end of said shaft further comprises a handle being secured to said butt at said handle connection end of said butt and being the endmost member of said stick to be grasped by a player.
