Claims
- 1. A pool water purification system comprising:
- prefiltration means for removing coarse impurities from pool water;
- microfiltration means for filtering the pool water that has been filtered by said prefiltration means, said microfiltration means using porous ceramic filters;
- backwashing means for backwashing said porous ceramic filters with a high speed two-phase stream that is created by mixing high pressure air with water moving in a stream, said backwashing means comprising means to supply a stream of water at high speed, means to supply high pressure air, mixing means to jet said high-pressure air to mix with said high-speed stream of water thereby to produce said high-speed two-phase stream, and means to apply said high-speed two-phase stream to said porous ceramic filters in a back-washing direction;
- ultrafiltration means for filtering the pool water that has been filtered by said microfiltration means, said ultrafiltration means using ultrafiltration membranes;
- disinfecting means for disinfecting the pool water that has been filtered by said ultrafiltration means;
- adsorbing means for purifying the disinfected pool water by adsorption; and
- circulating means interconnecting said prefiltration means, said microfiltration means, said ultrafiltration means, said disinfecting means and said adsorbing means in this order to provide a path for circulating the pool water.
- 2. A pool water purification system according to claim 1, wherein said ultrafiltration means has backwashing means for backwashing said ultrafiltration membranes, the last-mentioned backwashing means containing an ultrasonic cleaner.
- 3. A pool water purification system according to claim 1, wherein said ultrafiltration membranes are capable of removing impurity particles having a particle size of 0.001-0.5 .mu.m.
- 4. A pool water purification system according to claim 1, wherein said microfiltration means further uses at least one filter aid precoated on outer surfaces of said porous ceramic filters.
- 5. A pool water purification system according to claim 1, wherein said disinfecting means disinfects with ultraviolet radiation and ozone.
- 6. A pool water purification system according to claim 1, wherein said microfiltration means comprises a tank that contains a plurality of said porous ceramic filters.
- 7. A pool water purification system according to claim 1, wherein said high speed two-phase stream is created by introducing said high pressure air into said water stream with a component of movement parallel to the direction of said water stream.
- 8. A pool water purification system comprising:
- backwashing means for backwashing said porous ceramic filters with a high speed two-phase stream that is created by mixing high pressure air with water moving in a stream, said backwashing means comprising means to supply a stream of water at high speed, means to supply high pressure air, mixing means to jet said high-pressure air to mix with said high-speed stream of water thereby to produce said high-speed two-phase stream, and means to apply said high-speed two-phase stream to said porous ceramic filters in a backwashing direction;
- ultrafiltration means for filtering the pool water that has been filtered by said microfiltration means, said ultrafiltration means using ultrafiltration membranes;
- disinfecting means for disinfecting the pool water that has been filtered by said ultrafiltration means with ultraviolet radiation and ozone;
- adsorbing means for purifying the disinfected pool water by adsorption; and
- circulating means interconnecting said prefiltration means, said microfiltration means, said ultrafiltration means, said disinfecting means and said adsorbing means in this order to provide a path for circulating the pool water.
- 9. A pool water purification system according to claim 8, wherein said microfiltration means comprises a tank that contains a plurality of said porous ceramic filters.
- 10. A pool water purification system according to claim 8, wherein said high speed two-phase stream is created by introducing said high pressure air into said water stream with a component of movement parallel to the direction of said water stream.
