Claims
- 1. A method for purifying or separating biologic macromolecules using a particulate material comprising a plurality of porous mineral support particles impregnated with and containing a sufficient amount of an aminated polysaccharide polymer so as to permit reversibly fixing said biologic macromolecules therewith, said method comprising contacting said particulate material with a solution containing said biologic macromolecules and regulating the pH and the molarity of said solution so that the said particulate material fixes selectively either the said biologic macromolecules or undesired impurities contained in said solution.
- 2. The method of claim 1 for purifying gammaglobulins present in human or animal serums or plasma.
- 3. The method of claim 1 for separating hemoglobin in a process for purifying albumin present in placental blood and concentrating other proteins combined therewith.
- 4. The method of claim 1 for concentrating a protein solution diluted with an alcoholic medium and eliminating said alcohol.
- 5. The method of claim 1 for concentrating and purifying albumin in a sodium caprylate solution.
