The disclosure and prior art relates to air conditioning devices and more particularly pertains to a new air conditioning device for facilitating portable air conditioning.
An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a box that may contain ice thereby facilitating the ice to cool an interior of the box. A handle is hingedly coupled to the box and the handle may be gripped. A fan unit is coupled to the box. The fan unit urges air inwardly with respect to the box. The fan unit includes a baffle to direct to air onto the ice. Thus, the ice may cool the air. The fan unit urges the cooled air outwardly from the box. Thus, the cooled air may cool a user.
There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.

The outer wall 16 has a first lateral side 22 and a second lateral side 24. The first lateral side 22 has a first opening 25 extending therethrough. The second lateral side 24 has a second opening 26 extending therethrough. The outer wall 16 has an inner surface 28 and an outer surface 30. The box 12 may contain ice 32 thereby facilitating the ice 32 to cool an interior of the box 12. The ice 32 may comprise frozen water and dry ice 32.
A lid 34 is provided. The lid 34 is hingedly coupled to the box 12. The lid 34 is positioned on the distal edge 18 and the lid 34 selectively closes and opens the box 12. The lid 34 may be comprised of a thermally insulating material or the like.
A handle 36 is hingedly coupled to the box 12 and the handle 36 may be gripped. The handle 36 comprises a central member 38 extending between a pair of lateral members 40. Each of the lateral members 40 is hingedly coupled to an associated one of the first lateral side 22 and the second lateral side 24 of the box 12. Each of the lateral members 40 has a distal end 42 with respect to the central member 38.
Each of the lateral members 40 has a bend 44 thereon. The bend 44 corresponding to each of the lateral members 40 is positioned closer to the distal end 42 than the central member 38. Thus, the distal end 42 corresponding to each of the lateral members 40 is directed at an angle away from the corresponding lateral member.
Each of the lateral members 40 has an opening 46 extending therethrough. The opening 46 corresponding to each of the lateral members 40 is positioned adjacent to the distal end 42 of the corresponding lateral member. The handle 36 is positioned in a stored position. The distal end 42 corresponding to each of the lateral members 40 extends upwardly from the lid 34. The handle 36 is positioned in a deployed position having the central member 38 being spaced from the lid 34.
A shoulder strap 48 is provided. The shoulder strap 48 is removably coupled to the handle 36 to facilitate the box 12 to be carried. The shoulder strap 48 has a first end 50 and a second end 52. The shoulder strap 48 includes a pair of fasteners 54. Each of the fasteners 54 is coupled to an associated one of the first end 50 and the second end 52. Each of the fasteners 54 removably engages the opening 46 in an associated one of the lateral members 40 when the handle 36 is positioned in the stored position. Each of the fasteners 54 may comprise a D-ring or the like.
A fan unit 56 is provided and the fan unit 56 is coupled to the box 12. The fan unit 56 urges air inwardly with respect to the box 12. The fan unit 56 includes a baffle 58 where to direct to air into the ice 32 thereby facilitating the ice 32 to cool the air. The fan unit 56 urges the cooled air outwardly from the box 12 thereby facilitating the cooled air to cool a user.
The fan unit 56 comprises a fan 60 that is coupled to the inner surface 28 of the outer wall 16. The fan 60 is aligned with the first opening 25. Thus, the fan 60 urges air inwardly through the first opening 25 when the fan 60 is turned on. The fan 60 may comprise an electric fan 60 or the like.
The baffle 58 is coupled to the inner surface 28 of the outer wall 16 and the baffle 58 is positioned to cover the fan 60. The baffle 58 has a lower end 62 and the lower end 62 is open. The lower end 62 is directed toward the bottom wall 14 of the box 12. Thus, the lower end 62 directs the air downwardly toward the bottom wall 14.
A vent 64 is provided and the vent 64 is coupled to the outer wall 16. The vent 64 is aligned with the second opening 26 to direct the air outwardly from the box 12. The vent 64 has a plurality of vanes 66 and each of the vanes 66 is movably coupled to the vent 64. The vent 64 includes a pair of knobs 68 and each of the knobs 68 may be manipulated. Each of the knobs 68 is coupled to associated ones of the vanes 66. Thus, each of the vanes 66 is positioned at a selected angle with respect to the vent 64 when the knobs 68 are manipulated. Each of the vanes 66 directs the air in a selected direction with respect to the box 12.
A switch 70 is coupled to the outer wall 16 of the box 12 and the switch 70 may be manipulated. The switch 70 is electrically coupled to the fan 60. The switch 70 actuates the fan 60 between a minimum speed and a maximum speed. The switch 70 may comprise a rheostatic knob or the like and the switch 70 may be selectively rotated between a minimum position and a maximum position. Additionally, the switch 70 may be positioned in an off position.
A power supply 72 is provided and the power supply 72 is coupled to the box 12. The power supply 72 is electrically coupled to the switch 70. The power supply 72 comprises at least one battery 74. The at least one battery 74 is coupled to the inner surface 28 of the box 12 and the at least one battery 74 is electrically coupled to the switch 70. The at least one battery 74 may comprise a rechargeable battery 74 or the like.
A power port 76 is provided. The power port 76 is coupled to the outer surface 30 of the box 12 and the power port 76 is electrically coupled to the at least one battery 74. A power port 76 is provided. The power port 76 is selectively electrically coupled to the power port 76.
A first charger 77 is provided. The first charger 77 includes a first plug 78 and a second plug 80. The first plug 78 may be electrically coupled to the power port 76. The second plug 80 may comprise a cigarette adapter or the like. The second plug 80 may be electrically coupled to a power source 82 in a vehicle. Thus, the power port 76 charges the at least one battery 74. The power source 82 in the vehicle may comprise a cigarette lighter or other DC power source 82.
A second charger 84 is provided and the second charger 84 is selectively electrically coupled to the power port 76. The second charger 84 includes a primary plug 86 and a secondary plug 88. The primary plug 86 may be electrically coupled to the power port 76. The secondary plug 88 may be coupled to an electrical outlet 90 such that the second charger 84 charges the at least one battery 74. The electrical outlet 90 may be an AC electrical outlet or the like.
A solar cell 92 is provided. A wire 94 is electrically coupled to the solar cell 92 and the wire 94 has a distal end 96 with respect to the solar cell 92. A third plug 98 is electrically coupled to the distal end 96 of the wire 94. The third plug 98 is selectively electrically coupled to the power port 76. The solar cell 92 may be exposed to sunlight thereby facilitating the solar cell 92 to charge the at least one battery 74.
In use, the ice 32 is positioned in the box 12 and the lid 34 is closed. The box 12 is selectively transported to a heated environment. The switch 70 is manipulated to turn to fan 60 on. The fan 60 directs the air inwardly through the first opening 25. The baffle 58 directs the air downwardly onto the ice 32. Thus, the ice 32 cools the air. The cooled air is directed outwardly from the vent 64. The cooled air may cool the user in the heated environment.
With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
