The present disclosure relates generally to a portable noise reduction shed that are formed by two or four L-Shape foldable panels, with full walls on three side and a full or partial open on the fourth side, to house generators or other high noise equipment inside to reduce the noise level of equipment to the outside environment.
Current ways of reducing the generator or other noisy equipment noise level are either building a noise reduction enclosures as part of the generator or the equipment itself, or building a separate enclosure with full walls, ceiling and floor to fully enclose the generators or other noisy equipment inside . Since these enclosures are fully enclosed with full walls on all sides, so they have to include electric fans and ventilating louvers on the wall to let the fresh air in, exhausted air and heat out during operation. Main problem with these full enclosures is once the fans stop working while equipment inside is still running, the enclosure will be overheating and causes safety issues.
Thus, there exists a need for a more innovative product that can reduce the noise level but at the same time doesn't require the fans and electric power when housing the generators and other noisy equipment in it for noise reduction.
Examples of references relevant to existing enclosure for noise reduction include U.S. Patent References: U.S. Pat. Nos. 9,641,043 and 4,871,922. The complete disclosures of the above patents and patent applications are herein incorporated by reference for all purposes.
The present disclosure is directed to a portable noise reduction shed formed by multiple L-Shape foldable panels to house generators, or other noisy equipment in it to reduce the environmental noise level during operation. This portable noise reduction shed includes two or four L-Shape foldable panels to form into different size of inside space to house different size the generators or other noisy equipment. The portable noise reduction shed formed by the L-Shape panels has full wall on three sides and a full or partial open wall on the fourth side.
When all L-Shape foldable L panels are unfolded and coupled to each other, the portable noise reduction shed is formed and ready to house the generator or other noisy equipment inside . When all L-Shaped foldable panels are disconnected and folded, the portable noise reduction shed is in storage condition. Each L-Shape foldable panel consists of two basic panels that are coupled by folding brackets. Each basic panel is constructed with multi layers of sound absorbing, sound insulation, sound damping materials and a cover to become a complete sound transmission barrier.
Compared to current fully closed enclosures that house the generators or other noisy equipment to reduce the noise, the portable noise reduction shed in discussion reduces the noise level greatly on three sides that have the full wall and the top that has the full ceiling, it does not require the electric fans, ventilating louvers and electric power since the exhausted air and heat get out of the shed from the fully or partially open front wall, thus greatly reduces the risk of the overheating during equipment operation inside the shed.
The disclosed portable noise reduction shed will become better understood through review of the following detailed description in conjunction with the figures. The detailed description and figures provide merely examples of the various inventions described herein. Those skilled in the art will understand that the disclosed examples may be varied, modified, and altered without departing from the scope of the inventions described herein. Many variations are contemplated for different applications and design considerations, however, for the sake of brevity, each and every contemplated variation is not individually described in the following detailed description.
Throughout the following detailed description, examples of noise reduction shed are provided. Related features in the examples may be identical, similar, or dissimilar in different examples. For the sake of brevity, related features will not be redundantly explained in each example. Instead, the use of related feature names will cue the reader that the feature with a related feature name may be similar to the related feature in an example explained previously. Features specific to a given example will be described in that particular example. The reader should understand that a given feature need not be the same or similar to the specific portrayal of a related feature in any given figure or example.
