This invention pertains to the use of holders of pool cues, more particularly to the safe storage of pool cues during team play.
Pool cues are the tools and means for playing the game of pool. A pool cue is made to be straight and true to enable an accurate shot. They are made of fine hard woods, aluminum or fiber glass. They may have inlays of exotic materials. The handle wrapped in fine linen, leather or other grips. Pool cues range in price into the thousands of dollars. Personal pool cues are very valuable. Leagues have been formed to play pool in a recreation type format, gathering friends and family together for a little friendly competition. During play one or two people play while four to eight people wait to play. The people waiting need someplace to store their valuable pool cue. Pool halls, bar rooms and recreation halls usually have pool cues available to play. They are stored in a pool cue rack usually attached to the wall and sometimes on the floor. The pool cue racks are often a distance from the table on which you will be playing or if the pool cue rack is close it is occupied. My invention allows players waiting their turn to stand their pool cues upright in a secure pool cue rack that can be attached to any chair, stool or column; keeping a teams pool cues together and safe between matches.
A portable team pool cue rack for attaching to a support base (chair, stool or post) includes a strapping device long enough to encircle the base and has a connector (double D, clasp, buckle or button) to secure the strap. A back on which to attach strap (by staples, screws or nails) and which attaches to the base, the base having holes drilled equally sized and spaced large enough to accommodate said pool cue. The back and base of portable team cue rack is being formed from any solid material such as wood, plastic or metal.
The following drawings are based on the prototype.
