Claims
- 1- A portable universal cart for shopping and transporting items across a surface comprising;
a base portion with a framework including wheels, that can be retractile, to roll said portable universal cart over the ground, with a base basket and lower link arms; said base basket with locking mechanism to keep the laterals, front and rear foldable screens in an upright position; a pedal attached to said framework to incline said portable universal cart; a brake fastened in each rear wheel to stop the rotation of said wheels; said lower link arms linked to said base portion by pivots and at the other end linked by a rod; a locking mechanism associated to said lower linking arms to keep said lower link arms in an upright position; an upper portion comprising an upper basket, with all foldable screens and upper link arms; said upper linking arms pivotally connected at one end to said base portion through lower link arms, and at the other end said upper link arms extend upwardly towards the user to joint both arms by a rod. Said rod comprises two pieces of rubber pads to push said portable universal cart; a locking mechanism associated to said upper linking arms to secure said portable universal cart in an upright position; said upper basket with locking mechanisms to keep lateral foldable screens in an upright position and to avoid folding down said upper basket; a locking mechanism attached to said upper basket to keep front foldable screen in an upright position; a receptacle being fastened to said upper link arms and a rod linked to said upper link arms. Said receptacle has different compartments with devices for holding and storing various items;
- 2- A portable universal cart according claim 1, wherein the locking mechanism for lower link arms comprises a part. Said part has a protuberance with a curve surface to force the part to move out when said lower link arms moving up and slide through said curve surface, pushing the part outside until it reaches the end of said curve surface; said part suddenly goes back to the original position helped by a spring hinge attached to a plate secured to said base portion and said part, locking said lower link arms in an upright position.
- 3- A portable universal cart according to claim 1, wherein said locking mechanism for upper link arms comprises a rod in U shape, firmly secured to said upper link arms, a spring grip, which slide around said rod in U shape. Said spring grip has at the end a curve shape allowing sliding smoothly through the rod that links lower link arms. Said spring grip grasps with pressure said rod that links said lower link arms, locking the upper link arms in an upright position.
- 4- A portable universal cart according claim 1, wherein said base basket have all foldable screens, except the bottom screen. Said foldable screens are connected to said bottom screen by hinges or prolonged rods from said foldable screens bended in one of the rods of said bottom screen.
- 5- A portable universal cart according to claim 1, wherein said upper basket have all foldable screens. Said foldable screens are connected to said bottom screen by hinges or prolonged rods from said foldable screens bended in one of the rods of said bottom screen, except the rear and bottom foldable screens. Said rear and bottom foldable screens are pivotally connected to the upper link arms.
- 6- A portable universal cart according claim 1, wherein said base portion and upper portion are foldable, including said baskets, allowing said portable universal cart being portable and handy.
- 7- A portable universal cart according to claim 1, wherein said base basket has a locking mechanism to keep all foldable screens in an upright position. Said locking mechanism comprises a bended plate in U shape secured to lateral foldable screen. Said bended plate in U shape has attached a magnet, to hold an iron plate belong to the front and rear foldable screen, locking said front and rear foldable screen in an upright position. Said iron plate is inside said bended plate in U shape, locking said lateral foldable screen, too.
- 8- A portable universal cart according to claim 1, wherein said upper basket has a locking mechanism to keep front foldable screen in an upright position. Said locking mechanism comprises a bended plate in U shape secured to lateral foldable screen. Said bended plate in U shape has attached a magnet, to hold an iron plate belong to the front foldable screen, locking said front foldable screen in an upright position. Said iron plate is inside said bended plate in U shape, locking said lateral foldable screens, too.
- 9- A portable universal cart according to claim 1, wherein said upper basket has a locking mechanism to hold the two lateral foldable screens. Said locking mechanism comprises a clamp in U shape firmly secured to upper link arms, to hold one rod of said lateral foldable screens. Said clamp has a spring bolt to hold said lateral screen in an upright position. Said clamp avoid collapsing the upper basket, keeping said upper basket in horizontal position.
- 10- A portable universal cart according to claim 1, wherein said base portion includes rigidly attached thereto a pedal to the framework in the region of the rear tires, so that download pressure exerted on the pedal causes the cart to pivot about the rear wheels and the front tilt upwardly. Said pedal has a configuration to prevent said portable universal cart from tilting over the real wheels.
- 11- A portable universal cart according claim 1, wherein the upper portion comprises a receptacle with different compartments. Said receptacle has a first compartment with a lid. Said first compartment has a device to hold an expandable enclosure, such as an umbrella. Said device comprises an adjustable holder attached to the bottom of said first compartment, to hold the umbrella's handle. Said lid is secured to the compartment with a hinge. Said first compartment is open, until said lid is in upright position. Said lid has attached a plate with a grip clip. Said grid clip hold the stick of said umbrella avoiding falling down.
- 12- A portable universal cart according to claim 1, wherein the upper portion comprises a receptacle with different compartments. Said receptacle has a second compartment. Said second compartment has a lid attached by a hinge. Said second compartment has an adjustable holder attached to the bottom of said second compartment to hold a glass, bottle or can.
- 13- A portable universal cart according to claim 1, wherein the upper portion comprises a receptacle with different compartments. Said receptacle has a third compartment. Said third compartment has a lid attached by a hinge. Said lid has an arm firmly secured in the internal side. Said arm at the other end is attached to a rear view mirror. Said lid when is open totally, it moves until said lid reaches the upper link arm. Said rear view mirror takes a position able to see behind the user.
- 14- A portable universal cart according claim 1, wherein the upper portion comprises a receptacle with different compartments. Said receptacle has a fourth compartment with a lid. Said lid is attached to said fourth compartment with a hinge. Said lid has attached a key lock to keep valuable items protected.
- 15- A portable universal cart, wherein said base portion and said upper portion comprise pads and reflecting surfaces attached to said base portion and said upper portion.
- 16- A portable universal cart, wherein said portable universal cart can take different configurations according the user's needs. Said configurations may includes said portable universal cart with both baskets open, said portable universal cart with the base basket in foldable position only, said portable universal cart with the upper basket in foldable position only, and said portable universal cart with both baskets in foldable position.
