Claims
- 1. A portable urine bottle holder for holding and in combination with a urine bottle and which is connectable to a floor and a ceiling for supporting an individual, said portable urine bottle holder comprising:
- a urine bottle support having an adjustable length and comprising:
- a hollow rod having, at one end thereof, one of a bottle receiving ring and a pole receiving ring, said bottle receiving ring for supporting the urine bottle; and
- an extension rod disposed at one end thereof within an opening located in the other end of said hollow rod such that said length of said urine bottle support is selectively adjustable in a longitudinal direction relative to said hollow rod, the other end of said extension rod having the other of said bottle receiving ring and said pole receiving ring;
- a standing pole engageable at its ends with the floor and the ceiling for providing support for the individual, said urine bottle support being selectively engageable with said standing pole by said pole receiving ring at any of a plurality of locations along said standing pole;
- at least one grip pad fixed to and at least partly surrounding a portion of said standing pole, said grip pad having a roughened surface that is offset from a surface of said standing pole for being grasped by the individual; and
- a fastener engaged with said urine bottle support at said pole receiving ring and configured to prevent said urine bottle support from sliding along or rotating on said standing pole.
- 2. A portable urine bottle holder for holding and in combination with a urine bottle and which is connectable to a floor and a ceiling for supporting an individual, said portable urine bottle holder comprising:
- a standing pole having a bottom pad engageable with the floor and a top pad engageable with the ceiling for providing support for the individual;
- at least one grip pad fixed to and at least partly surrounding a portion of said standing pole, said grip pad having a roughened surface that is offset from a surface of said standing pole for being grasped by the individual;
- a urine bottle support for supporting a urine bottle, said urine bottle support being selectively engageable with said standing pole at any of a plurality of positions along said standing pole; and
- a fastener selectively coupled to said urine bottle support for preventing said urine bottle support from moving relative to said standing pole.
- 3. The portable urine bottle holder as claimed in claim 2 wherein said urine bottle support comprises:
- a hollow rod having, at one end thereof, one of a pole receiving ring and a bottle receiving ring, said bottle receiving ring for supporting the urine bottle;
- an extension rod having the other of said bottle receiving ring and said pole receiving ring, said extension rod being disposed at one end thereof within an opening in said hollow rod and being adjustable in a longitudinal direction relative to said hollow rod.
- 4. The portable urine bottle holder as claimed in claim 2 wherein said fastener comprises:
- a screw threadably engaged with said urine bottle support at said pole receiving area and configured to prevent said urine bottle support from sliding along or rotating on said standing pole.
- 5. The portable urinal as claimed in claim 2 wherein said standing pole includes a bottom pad engageable with the floor.
- 6. The portable urinal as claimed in claim 2 wherein said urine bottle includes a bottom opening, said urine bottle being configured to direct the flow of urine out through said bottom opening.
- 7. The portable urinal as claimed in claim 6 wherein said urine bottle is configured to direct the flow of urine out through said bottom opening into a receptacle located beneath said bottom opening.
- 8. A portable urinal comprising:
- a standing pole engageable with a floor and a ceiling for providing support for an individual;
- a urine bottle having a top opening, said urine bottle being configured to receive a flow of urine at said top opening;
- a urine bottle support for supporting said urine bottle, said urine bottle support being selectively engageable with said standing pole at any of a plurality of positions along said standing pole; and
- a fastener selectively coupled to said urine bottle support for securing said urine bottle support to a respective one of said plurality of positions, thereby preventing said urine bottle support from moving relative to said standing pole.
- 9. The portable urinal as claimed in claim 8 further comprising at least one grip pad fixed to and at least partly surrounding a portion of said standing pole, said grip pad having a roughened surface that is offset from a surface of said standing pole for being grasped by the individual.
- 10. The portable urinal as claimed in claim 8 wherein standing pole includes a top pad engageable with the ceiling.
- 11. The portable urinal as claimed in claim 8 wherein said fastener comprises a screw threadably engaged with said urine bottle support and configured to prevent said urine bottle support from sliding along or rotating about said standing pole.
- 12. The portable urinal as claimed in claim 8 wherein said standing pole includes a bottom pad engageable with the floor.
- 13. The portable urinal as claimed in claim 8 wherein said urine bottle includes a bottom opening, said urine bottle being configured to direct the flow of urine out through said bottom opening.
- 14. The portable urinal as claimed in claim 13 wherein said urine bottle is configured to direct the flow of urine out through said bottom opening into a receptacle located beneath said bottom opening.
- 15. A portable urinal comprising:
- a standing pole engageable with at least a floor for providing support for an individual;
- a urine bottle having a top opening, said urine bottle being configured to receive a flow of urine at said top opening;
- a urine bottle support for supporting said urine bottle said urine bottle support being selectively engageable with said standing pole at any of a plurality of positions along said standing pole; said urine bottle support comprising: a hollow rod having, at one end thereof, one of a pole receiving ring and a bottle receiving ring, said bottle receiving ring for supporting the urine bottle; and an extension rod having the other of said bottle receiving ring and said pole receiving ring, said extension rod being disposed at one end thereof within an opening in said hollow rod and being adjustable in a longitudinal direction relative to said hollow rod; and
- a fastener selectively coupled to said urine bottle support for securing said urine bottle support to a respective one of said plurality of positions, thereby preventing said urine bottle support from moving relative to said standing pole.
- 16. The portable urinal as claimed in claim 15 further comprising at least one grip pad fixed to and at least partly surrounding a portion of said standing pole, said grip pad having roughened surface that is offset from a surface of said standing pole for being grasped by the individual.
- 17. The portable urinal as claimed in claim 15 wherein said fastener comprises a screw threadably engaged with said urine bottle support and configured to prevent said urine bottle support from sliding along or rotating about said standing pole.
- 18. The portable urinal as claimed in claim 15 wherein said standing pole includes a bottom pad engageable with the floor.
- 19. The portable urinal as claimed in claim 15 wherein said urine bottle includes a bottom opening, said urine bottle being configured to direct the flow of urine out through said bottom opening.
- 20. The portable urinal as claimed in claim 19 wherein said urine bottle is configured to direct the flow of urine out through said bottom opening into a receptacle located beneath said bottom opening.
- 21. A portable urinal comprising:
- a standing pole engageable with at least a floor for providing support for an individual;
- a urine bottle having a top opening, said urine bottle being configured to receive a flow of at said top opening;
- a urine bottle support for supporting said urine bottle said urine bottle support being selectively engageable with said standing pole at any of a plurality of positions along said standing pole;
- a fastener selectively coupled to said urine bottle support for securing said urine bottle support to a respective one of said plurality of positions thereby preventing said urine bottle support from moving relative to said standing pole; and
- another standing pole engageable with at least a floor for providing further support for the individual.
- 22. The portable urinal as claimed in claim 21 wherein said another standing pole is further engageable with said ceiling.
- 23. The portable urinal as claimed in claim 21 further comprising at least one grip pad fixed to and at least partly surrounding a portion of said standing pole, said grip pad having a roughened surface that is offset from a surface of said standing pole for being grasped by the individual.
- 24. The portable urinal as claimed in claim 21 wherein said fastener comprises a screw threadably engaged with said urine bottle support and configured to prevent said urine bottle support from sliding along or rotating about said standing pole.
- 25. The portable urinal as claimed in claim 21 wherein said standing pole includes a bottom pad engageable with the floor.
- 26. The portable urinal as claimed in claim 21 wherein said urine bottle includes a bottom opening, said urine bottle being configured to direct the flow of urine out through said bottom opening.
- 27. The portable urinal as claimed in claim 26 wherein said urine bottle is configured to direct the flow of urine out through said bottom opening into a receptacle located beneath said bottom opening.
