Claims
- 1. Means for securing fabric material and the like comprising a diaphragm formed of a flexible resilient material and having at least one slit extending at least partially across the diaphragm, sized to receive and secure a portion of a fabric article, and means for securing the periphery of the diaphragm.
- 2. Means as set forth in claim 1 wherein said means for securing the periphery of the diaphragm is a container with the diaphragm extending across an opening in the container and secured to the periphery of the opening.
- 3. Means as set forth in claim 2 wherein the container is shaped and sized to receive a weight therein whereby the container functions as at least a partial anchor for the fabric.
- 4. A container as set forth in claim 3 including a second opening in the container and a cover removably secured to said second opening whereby weight in the form of granular material may be inserted into the container and secured therein by closing the cover.
- 5. A device for securing the corner of a fabric sheet comprising a container having a pair of spaced openings, a diaphragm of flexible resilient material positioned over and secured to one opening, said diaphragm having at least one slit extending partially across the diaphragm and being deformable to receive and secure a corner of a fabric sheet, a removable cover for the second opening, and said container sized to receive a weight of material.
- 6. A means for securing fabric material as set forth in claim 1 wherein the means for securing the periphery of the diaphragm includes a weight.
- 7. A means for securing fabric material as set forth in claim 1 having a spike shaped and sized to be driven into the ground or sand to fix the position of the fabric securing means.
- 8. A means as set forth in claim 6 wherein said means for securing the periphery of the diaphragm includes a container shaped to receive a weight for fixing the position of the fabric securing means against a windblown force.
- 9. A means as set forth in claim 8 wherein a spike extends from the container that is shaped and sized to be driven into beach sand to fix the position of the fabric securing means.
- 10. A means as set forth in claim 8 having a removable cover for an opening in the container for insertion and removal of weights from the interior of the container.
- 11. A means as set forth in claim 8 including a plurality of said means for securing fabric material spaced along the periphery of said fabric.
