Abstract
The present invention relates to a positioning structure of an auto-umbrella, which includes an improved shaft around a shaft and a notch connecting with a frame. The characteristic is that the runner is provided with an engaging hook connected with a sleeve, and the engaging hook has its upper end to be a protrusion and has its lower end to connect with an inner spring. The notch is provided with an engaging piece having a flat edge to engage with the protrusion of the hook for positioning the umbrella in secure when the umbrella will be used for a period of time.
Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] A conventional auto-umbrella is an umbrella being able to be opened and closed automatically. Referring to FIG. 1, when the umbrella is opened, there must be a gap between a runner (1) and a notch (2). Since the runner (1) is movably mounted around a shaft (3) of the umbrella, it is unstable. As the wind blows, the runner (1) and the connecting frame (4) will be swayed that makes users feel trouble.

[0002] Accordingly, the primary object of the invention is to provide a positioning structure of an auto-umbrella, which is provided with an engaging hook on the runner and an engaging piece beside the notch. And the hook can engage with the edge of the piece easily for positioning both stably. Now the features and advantages of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.

[0009]
FIG. 7 is a plan view showing the auto-umbrella to be released from positioning.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0010] Please refer to FIGS. 2 and 3 firstly, the present invention relates to an improvement of an auto-umbrella, which includes an improved runner (1) and a notch (2). The runner (1) is provided with an engaging hook (11) being connected with a sleeve (12), which is received around the runner (1) while a coil spring (121) is put therebetween. The engaging hook (11) has its upper end to be a protrusion (13) and has its lower end to connect with an inner spring (14). The notch (2) is provided with an engaging piece (21) having a flat edge.

[0011] As a normal auto-umbrella, the umbrella of this invention shown in FIG. 4 or 5 has a similar structure being able to be opened or closed automatically as a conventional one. If the umbrella will be used for a long period of time, the runner (1) can be pushed upward as in FIG. 6. The protrusion (13) of the hook (11) can be engaged with the edge of the engaging piece (21) that combines the runner (1) and the notch (2) firmly. Hence, the frame (4) and the runner (1) will be stable relating to the shaft (3).

[0012] Referring to FIG. 7, when to close the umbrella, a user can push the lower end of the hook (11) to separate the protrusion (13) from the edge of the engaging piece (21). The runner (1) will be moved downward automatically to the state as in FIG. 5 because of a recovery force of the coil spring (121). So the umbrella can be operated automatically.

[0013] Accordingly, the present invention obviously achieves utility and improvement and should be allowed for patent.
