Claims
- 1. A method of selectively inducing terminal differentiation of neoplastic cells and thereby inhibiting proliferation of such cells which comprises contacting the cells under suitable conditions with an amount of a compound effective to selectively induce terminal differentiation, the compound having the structure: ##STR86## wherein X is phenyl and n is an integer from 1 to 5.
- 2. A method of clam 1, wherein the effective amount of the compound is from about 2 .mu.M to about 6000 .mu.M.
- 3. A method of claim 2, wherein the contacting is effected continuously for at least 48 hours.
