Claims
- 1. A powdery coating composition comprising polymer particles having an average particle size within the range of 0.5 to 200.mu. and composed of, as a core component, a polymer having a softening point not exceeding 90.degree. C. and selected from the group consisting of acrylic copolymers containing 5 to 60% by weight of units of a monomer whose homopolymer has a Tg lower than 0.degree. C. and, as an outer component, a polymer having an softening point of at least 100.degree. C. and being selected from the group consisting of ethyl cellulose and hydroxyethyl cellulose wherein the weight ratio of the core component to the outer component is within the range from 50/50 to 100/1 and said outer component covers said core component.
- 2. The composition of claim 1 wherein the core component is a copolymer of styrene, methyl methacrylate, 2-ethylhexyl acrylate and butyl acrylate and the outer component is ethyl cellulose.
- 3. The composition of claim 1 wherein the core component is a copolymer of styrene, methyl methacrylate, 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate, glycidyl methacrylate, ethyl acrylate and butyl acrylate and the outer component is ethyl cellulose.
- 4. The composition of claim 1 wherein the core component is a copolymer of lauryl methacrylate, styrene, ethyl acrylate and 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate and the outer component is hydroxyethyl cellulose.
