Claims
- 1. A power actuated gun having a fastener feeding track assembly attached thereto, the device comprising:
a. a barrel, the barrel being attached to the fastener feeding track assembly, such that the barrel can move with respect to the fastener feeding track assembly; b. the fastener feeding track assembly having a fastener assembly holder attached thereto which is positioned in relation to the barrel of the power actuated gun such that the fastener assembly holder is pivoted by the barrel of the power actuated gun when the barrel has received a fastener assembly and the barrel is moved with respect to the fastener feeding track assembly.
- 2. The device of claim 1, wherein:
the fastener assembly holder is formed with a V groove.
- 3. The device of claim 1, wherein:
the fastener assembly holder further comprises a spring that biases fastener assembly holder into a position where the fastener assembly holder is pivoted by the barrel of the power actuated gun when the barrel has received a fastener assembly and the barrel is moved with respect to the fastener feeding track assembly
- 4. A power actuated gun having a fastener feeding track assembly attached thereto, the device comprising:
a. a barrel, the fastener feeding track assembly being attached to the barrel of the power actuated gun such that the barrel can move with respect to the fastener feeding track assembly; b. the barrel having a slot therein; and c. the fastener feeding track assembly having a projection that is received by the slot in the barrel.
- 5. The device of claim 4, wherein:
the projection of the fastener feeding track assembly received by the slot in the barrel is a screw.
- 6. The device of claim 5, wherein:
the power actuated gun further comprises a spring that biases the power actuated gun away from the fastener feeding track assembly.
- 7. The device of claim 6, wherein:
when the barrel is moved toward the fastener feeding track assembly the spring compresses and the barrel slides in relation to the fastener feeding track assembly.
- 8. A power actuated gun having a fastener feeding track assembly attached thereto, the device comprising:
a. a barrel, the fastener feeding track assembly being attached to the barrel of the power actuated gun such that the barrel can move with respect to the fastener feeding track assembly; b. the barrel having opposing flat surfaces; and c. the fastener feeding track assembly having attached thereto a pair of opposing surfaces dimensioned to closely correspond to the opposing flat surfaces of the barrel, such that the fastener feeding track assembly grips the barrel of the power actuated gun at the opposing flat surface on the barrel.
- 9. The device of claim 8, wherein:
the pair of opposing surfaces dimensioned to closely correspond to the opposing flat surface of the barrel of the fastener feeding track assembly is a U shaped bracket received by the fastener feeding track assembly.
- 10. The device of claim 9, wherein:
the power actuated gun further comprises a spring that biases the power actuated gun away from the fastener feeding track assembly.
- 11. The device of claim 10, wherein:
when the barrel is moved toward the fastener feeding track assembly the spring compresses and the barrel slides in relation to the fastener feeding track assembly.
- 12. A power actuated gun having a fastener feeding track assembly attached thereto, the device comprising:
a. a barrel that is received by the fastener feeding track assembly; and b. the fastener feeding track assembly having a window in the fastener feeding track assembly where the barrel is received by the fastener feeding track assembly.
- 13. The device of claim 12, wherein:
a. a fastener assembly is received within the fastener feeding track assembly, and the fastener assembly is formed with a leg; and b. the window formed in the fastener feeding track assembly is large enough to create a clearance for the leg of the fastener assembly, should the leg bend toward the fastener feeding track assembly when the fastener assembly is driven by the power actuated gun.
