Claims
  • 1. A power supply circuit for an image display apparatus, that is adapted to suppress leakage of electromagnetic waves generated in the apparatus to the outside of the apparatus, the power supply circuit comprising: an AC inlet to which a power cord is connected to input power supplied from an external AC power supply;a filter circuit to which an inductance element is connected to attenuate electromagnetic waves;a switch that switches on/off an AC output supplied from the filter circuit; anda circuit board on which the filter circuit is formed and the AC inlet and the switch are mounted.
  • 2. An image display apparatus that displays an image based on an image signal, the apparatus comprising: a power supply circuit including, on a single circuit board, an AC inlet, a filter circuit, and a switch, the AC inlet to which a power cord is connected to input power supplied from an external AC power supply, the filter circuit to which an inductance element is connected to attenuate electromagnetic waves, the switch that switches on/off the AC output supplied from the filter circuit;electromagnetic shielding means for covering the circuit board to shield electromagnetic waves;a display unit that displays an image;a drive circuit to which the power based on the output of the power supply circuit is supplied to drive the display unit based on an image signal; anda rear cover arranged at the rear side of the display unit to cover the power supply circuit, the display unit, and the drive circuit.
  • 3. The image display apparatus as defined in claim 2, wherein: the electromagnetic shielding means is formed of a first shielding section that surrounds the lateral side of the circuit board and a second shielding section that covers the upper side of the circuit board; andthe second shielding section is composed of a part of the flat section of a rear cover provided at the rear side of the display unit of the display apparatus.
  • 4. The image display apparatus as defined in claim 2, wherein the switch has an L-shaped arm for operation and is activated by a force transmitted by the arm.
  • 5. The image display apparatus as defined in claim 2, wherein the display unit is a plasma display panel that displays an image by means of electric discharge between electrodes arranged in a matrix form.
  • 6. The image display apparatus as defined in claim 3, wherein the display unit is a plasma display panel that displays an image by means of electric discharge between electrodes arranged in a matrix form.
  • 7. The image display apparatus as defined in claim 4, wherein the display unit is a plasma display panel that displays an image by means of electric discharge between electrodes arranged in a matrix form.
