Claims
- 1. A semiconductor switching element used in an electric power supplying apparatus for a vehicle, whereinsaid semiconductor switching element is located adjacent a control circuit for supplying a control signal to said semiconductor switching element; and said semiconductor switching element functions such that when at least one of a control apparatus receiving electric power supply from said semiconductor switching element and an output line between the semiconductor switching element and the control apparatus is shorted, said semiconductor switching element senses its own temperature increase based on a short current flowing through it to cause it to shut down.
- 2. A semiconductor switching element according to claim 1, wherein said semiconductor switching element is an PET.
