Claims
- 1. A process for the preparation of a compound of the formula ##STR11## in which R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 each independently is an optionally substituted alkyl, aralkyl, aryl, alkoxy, aryloxy, aralkoxy, alkylthio, arylthio, aralkylthio, alkylamino, arylamino or aralkyamino radical,
- comprising reacting a compound of the formula ##STR12## in which X is hydrogen, an alkali metal ion, an optionally alkyl-, aralkyl- and/or aryl-substituted ammonium radical, a trialkylsilyl radical, or ##STR13## with an approximately equimolar amount of bromine in the presence of an inert diluent at a temperature from about -25 to 5.degree. C.
- 2. A process according to claim 1, wherein the inert diluent is an aprotic solvent.
