Claims
- 1. An ammonium alkoxide having the formula: wherein M comprises ammonium, E1 and E2 and the carbon atom to which they are attached define a carbocyclic or heterocyclic skeleton having the bicyclic, tricyclic or tetracyclic taxane nucleus and E3 is hydrogen or hydrocarbon.
- 2. The ammonium alkoxide of claim 1 wherein E3 is hydrogen.
- 3. The metal alkoxide of claim 1 wherein M is tetraalkylammonium.
- 4. The metal alkoxide of claim 1 wherein M is tetramethylammonium or tetrabutylammonium.
- 5. The metal alkoxide of claim 1 wherein E1 and E2 and the carbon atom to which they are attached define a carbocyclic skeleton having the bicyclic taxane nucleus, E3 is hydrogen and M is tetraalkylammonium.
- 6. The metal alkoxide of claim 1 wherein E1 and E2 and the carbon atom to which they are attached define a carbocyclic skeleton having the bicyclic taxane nucleus, E3 is hydrogen and M is tetramethylammonium or tetrabutylammonium.
- 7. The ammonium alkoxide of claim 1, wherein E3 is hydrogen and M is tetraalkylammonium.
- 8. The metal alkoxide of claim 1 wherein E3 is hydrogen and M is tetramethylammonium or tetrabutylammonium.
