Abstract
Presentation box (2) comprising a semi-finished product (1) and at least two side panels (5) which are intended to be attached to the semi-finished product (1) and at least one attachment panel (16) which is intended to connect the aforementioned side panels in mounted condition with each other, whereby the semi-finished product (1) contains interconnected sheets which can be positioned such to form a sleeve with different segments (3) including at least a front side (3a) and a bottom (3b), a back side (3c) and an upperside (3d) and whereby the side panels (5) are provided with mounting means (10) to be able to mount the side panels (5) over the open ends (12a and 12b) of the thus formed sleeve and whereby the side panels (5) and the attachment panels (16) are provided with complementary attachment means such that the attachment panels (16) are or can be attached to the mounted side panels, whereby the attachment panels (16) form the connection between two facing side panels (5).
Description
TECHNICAL FIELD

The present disclosure relates to a presentation box.


More specifically the present disclosure relates to a presentation box which is intended to be personalised according to the customer's wishes.


BACKGROUND

Various presentation boxes for packaging an object are already known, whereby the presentation boxes can be finished and/or personalised relatively simply with, for example, a logo and/or a name.


However, the finish of the already existing presentation boxes with a finishing layer of the customer's choice, for example printing on the inside and/or the outside of the presentation boxes, requires large numbers and many months' delivery times.


Moreover, such presentation boxes take up a big volume or a big surface area in both pre-assembled and unmounted condition.


A disadvantage of this is that said presentation boxes are difficult to package.


Another disadvantage of this is that the transport costs for the transport of the boxes are relatively high.


Yet another disadvantage is that the unmounted presentation boxes are relatively difficult to assemble and a certain degree of dexterity is required for this.


The purpose of the present disclosure is to provide a solution to at least one of the aforementioned and other disadvantages.


SUMMARY

To this end, the present disclosure relates to a presentation box for packaging an object, whereby the presentation box comprises a semi-finished product and at least two side panels which are intended to be attached to the semi-finished product and at least one attachment panel intended to connect at least two of the aforementioned side panels in mounted condition with each other, whereby the semi-finished product contains one or more interconnected sheets which can be positioned or folded such to form a sleeve with different segments, including at least a front side and a bottom and a back side and an upperside and whereby the side panels are provided with mounting means to be able to attach the side panels over the open ends of the thus formed sleeve and in such a way that the semi-finished product and the side panels in mounted condition form a box and whereby the side panels and the attachment panels are provided with complementary attachment means such that the attachment panels are or can be attached to the mounted side panels, whereby the attachment panels form the connection between two facing side panels.


This provides the aspect that the presentation box can be assembled relatively simply by mounting the side panels to the sleeve and subsequently attaching the attachment panels to two facing side panels.


The attachment panels form the connection between the side panels such that the presentation box is very strong and stable in mounted condition.


In some embodiments, the aforementioned attachment means of the side panels contain two upstanding attachment edges and the attachment means of the attachment panels contain two undercut edges which can be applied fittingly over the associated upstanding attachment edges of the side panels.


An aspect of this is that once the attachment panels are attached to the side panels by their attachment means as described above, it is difficult for the mounted presentation box to unintentionally fall apart and/or come loose.


Another aspect is that in a flat condition as a sheet, the semi-finished product can be simply finished and/or personalised with a finishing layer according to the customer's wishes.


Such finish and/or personalisation can be obtained relatively quickly and it is possibly thereby to do so in smaller numbers.


The aforementioned presentation box can be transported in unmounted condition and with the semi-finished product as a flat sheet such that the sheet can be simply and compactly packaged.


The semi-finished product can also be made in two parts, whereby a first part successively contains a front side, a bottom and a back side and the second part a front flap, an upperside and a back side.


An aspect of this is that the two parts are much smaller than a semi-finished product made in one part, such that both parts can be provided separately with a coating, both the same sort of coating and another type of coating.


The two-part semi-finished product also offers the aspect that there are more coating possibilities.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION


FIG. 1 shows a semi-finished product 1 as part for a presentation box 2 according to the present disclosure whereby the semi-finished product 1 contains one sheet which is divided in different segments 3 by weakenings 4 which separate the segments 3 from each other and along which the sheet can be folded into a sleeve.


The aforementioned segments 3 in which the semi-finished product 1 is at least divided, successively contain a front side 3a and a bottom 3b and a back side 3c and an upperside 3d.


The aforementioned weakenings 4 may contain grooves that are applied in the semi-finished product 1, said grooves possibly being U-shaped or V-shaped grooves.


In some embodiments, one or more sides of the semi-finished product 1 can be provided with an adhesive layer, which is applied directly on the semi-finished product 1 for applying a finishing layer.


Such adhesive layer may contain a layer of hotmelt adhesive which can be applied on the semi-finished product 1 and remains on it.


In some embodiments, the semi-finished product 1 is provided with a finishing layer on at least one side of the semi-finished product 1, said finishing layer containing a print and/or a coating and/or the like.


In some embodiments, the finishing layer is applied directly on the aforementioned layer of hotmelt adhesive.


However, it is also possible that the adhesive layer is applied on the finishing layer and thus on the semi-finished product 1 or that the finishing layer is made to be self-adhesive on one side.



FIG. 2 shows a side panel 5 as part of the presentation box 2, containing a wall with at least four side edges 6a, 6b, 6c and 6d and an inside 7 and an outside 8, said side panel 5 intended to be attached to the aforementioned semi-finished product 1 for forming the presentation box 2 whereby the inside 7 of the side panel 5 faces the inside 9 of the presentation box 2 in mounted condition.


The presentation box 2, as shown in the example of FIG. 3, contains a semi-finished product 1 and at least two side panels 5 which are provided with mounting means 10 to be able to attach the side panels 5 over the open ends 12a and 12b of the thus formed sleeve and in such a way that the semi-finished product 1 and the side panels 5 form a box 2 in mounted condition, as shown in FIG. 4.


In some embodiments, the aforementioned mounting means 10 contain two or more upstanding edges 13, four upstanding edges 13a, 13b, 13c and 13d in the case of FIG. 2.


The upstanding edges 13a, 13b, 13c and 13d extend lengthways along at least a part of the side edges 6a, 6b, 6c and 6d, in some embodiments, along the entire length of the side edges 6a, 6b, 6c and 6d.


In some embodiments, the upperside 3d of the presentation box 2 is freely movable from the side panels 5 such that the presentation box 2 can be simply opened and/or closed.


In some embodiments, the mounting means 10 also contain two or more inner edges 14 on the inside 7 of the side panels 5 which are located at a distance A from the upstanding edges 13a, 13b, 13c and/or 13d, such that between the upstanding edges 13a, 13b, 13c and/or 13d and the inner edges 14 two or more grooves are formed.


The grooves of the side panels 5 can be attached over the open ends 12a and 12b of the sleeve


In some embodiments, the distance A between the upstanding edges 13a, 13b, 13c, 13d and the inner edges 14 approximately corresponds with the thickness of the semi-finished product 1.


In some embodiments, the mounting means 10 contain a matching inner edge 14 at every upstanding edge 13 with the exception of the upstanding edge 13 adjoining the upperside 3d of the sleeve


The side edge 6a of the side panels 5 which, in mounted condition of the side panels 5 and the sleeve, is located along the upperside 3d of the sleeve, can be free from a groove formed by an upstanding edge 13 and an inner edge 14.


In some embodiments, the side edge 6a of the side panels 5 which, in mounted condition of the side panels 5 and the sleeve, is located along the upperside 3d of the sleeve contains an upstanding edge 13 and is free from the matching inner edge 14.


However, this is not really necessary, it is also possible for example that the side edge 6a of the side panels 5 which, in mounted condition of the side panels 5 and the sleeve, is located along the upperside 3d of the sleeve is free from an upstanding edge 13 and/or from an inner edge 14.


In FIGS. 4 and 5, the attachment panels 16 are shown as a component of the presentation box 2, said attachment panels 16 being intended to form a connection between two facing side panels 5 which are mounted on the sleeve.


To this end, the attachment panels 16 and the side panels 5 contain complementary attachment means such that the attachment panels 16 can be attached to the mounted side panels 5.


In the example of FIGS. 2 to 5 the attachment means of the side panels 5 contain two upstanding attachment edges 17 and the attachment means of the attachment panels 16 contain two undercut edges 18 which can be applied fittingly over the matching upstanding attachment edges 17 of the side panels 5.


In the event that the side panels 5 contain an upstanding edge 13a which adjoins the upperside 3d of the sleeve in a mounted condition, the upstanding edge 13a is provided with at least two passages 19 such that the facing ends 20a and 20b of the attachment panels 16 can be applied in the passages 19 and the undercut edges 18 of the attachment panels 16 can be, or are, slid over the associated upstanding attachment edges 17 of the side panels 5.


However, this is not necessary, it is also possible for example that the side edges 6a of the side panel 5 which side edges 6a adjoin the upperside 3d of the sleeve is free from an upstanding edge 13 in mounted condition.


The aforementioned upstanding attachment edges 17 of the side panels 5 border the inner edges 14 at the front side 3a or the back side 3c of the presentation box 2 in mounted condition, said upstanding attachment edges 17 being located on the side of the inner edges 14 away from the groove.


In some embodiments, such upstanding attachment edges 17 of the side panels 5 protrude above the associated inner edges 14 at least in terms of depth D.


The aforementioned clamping means 11 may contain two or more pegs 15 or brackets which are applied such that the semi-finished product 1 is clamped in the side panels 5, as in the case of FIG. 2.


In some embodiments, the clamping means 11 are applied at a distance from each other and/or along at least a part of the longitudinal direction of the side edges 6a, 6b, 6c and/or 6d.


The number and/or the places where the clamping means 11 are applied may differ and/or be adapted according to wish or requirement.


In some embodiments, the pegs 15 and/or brackets are equidistant relative to each other.


In some embodiments, the clamping means 11 are located on the mounting means 10 of the side panels 5.


In this way, clamping means 11 can be located on the upstanding edges 13a, 13b, 13c and/or 13d and/or the inner edges 14 of the mounting means 10.


As shown in FIGS. 2 and 9, in some embodiments the clamping means 11 extend at least over a quarter of the distance A between the upstanding edges 13a, 13b, 13c and/or 13d and the inner edges 14, such that the clamping means 11 engage sufficiently deeply with the semi-finished product 1.


The clamping means 11 ensure that the surface of the grooves which is in contact with the sleeve is somewhat rough such that it is difficult to impossible for the sleeve to unintentionally slide out.


To obtain such surface roughness, the clamping means 11 can also be made with small ridges.


In an alternative embodiment as shown in FIG. 8, the semi-finished product 1 is executed in two parts, whereby a first part 1a successively contains a front side 3a, a bottom 3b and a back side 3c and the second part 1b a front flap 3e, an upperside 3d and a back side 3c′.


To this end, the side panels 5 are executed with a double groove which is intended for mounting the double back side 3c and 3c′ of the semi-finished product 1 and whereby the attachment edge 16 is located on the side of the inner edge 14 away from the grooves.


In an alternative embodiment, the semi-finished product 1 contains two or more sheets which are attached at a distance from each other and are coated all the way around with a finishing layer, whereby the distance between the sheets forms a weakening 4 such that the semi-finished product 1 can be transformed into the aforementioned sleeve.


The sheets can thus be interconnected by the finishing layer and are positioned such that the semi-finished product 1 can be transformed into a sleeve the aforementioned different segments 3.


In some embodiments, the depth with which the upstanding edges 13a, 13b, 13c and/or 13d of the side panels 5 in mounted condition protrude from the side edges 6a, 6b, 6c and/or 6d in the direction of the inside 9 of the presentation box 2 is equally big relative to each other and/or the depth with which the inner edges 14 of the side panels 5 in mounted condition protrude from the inside 7 in the direction of the inside 9 of the presentation box 2 is equally big relative to each other.


However, this is not necessary, it is also possible for example that the depths of the upstanding edges 13a, 13b, 13c and/or 13d are mutually different and/or the depth of the inner edges 14 differ relative to each other.


In some embodiments, the upstanding edges 13a, 13b, 13c and/or 13d and the inner edges 14 are equally deep.


However, it is also possible that the upstanding edges 13a, 13b, 13c and/or 13d are shorter or longer in terms of depth than the inner edges 14 of the side panels 5.


In some embodiments, the semi-finished product is provided with an extra segment 3, said segment 3 being a front flap 3e which is connected by means of a weakening 4 to the aforementioned upperside 3d of the sheet.


Said front flap 3e overlaps with the front side 3a of the semi-finished product 1 in mounted condition of the presentation box 2.


To this end, the front flap 3e and the front side 3a of the semi-finished product 1 can be provided with complementary mounting means 10, such as complementary magnets or snap-ons or Velcro®, such that the front flap 3e and the front side 3a are adjoining.


However, it is also possible to execute the side panels 5 such that the front flap 3e can be slid therein in such a way that it borders the inside 9 of the front side 3a.


The present disclosure is by no means limited to the embodiments described as an example and shown in the drawings, but a presentation box according to the present disclosure can be realised in all kinds of forms and dimensions, without departing from the scope of the present disclosure.

Claims
  • 1. Presentation box (2) for packaging an object, characterised in that the presentation box (2) comprises a semi-finished product (1) and at least two side panels (5) which are intended to be attached to the semi-finished product (1) and at least one attachment panel which is intended to connect at least two of the aforementioned side panels in mounted condition with each other, whereby the semi-finished product (1) contains one or more interconnected sheets which can be positioned or folded such to form a sleeve with different segments (3) including at least a front side (3a) and a bottom (3b) and a back side (3c) and an upperside (3d) and whereby the side panels (5) are provided with mounting means (10) to be able to mount the side panels (5) over the open ends (12a and 12b) of the thus formed sleeve and in such a way that the semi-finished product (1) and the side panels (5) in mounted condition form a box and whereby the side panels and the attachment panels are provided with complementary attachment means such that the attachment panels are or can be attached to the mounted side panels, whereby the attachment panels form the connection between two facing side panels.
  • 2. Presentation box according to claim 1, characterised in that attachment means of the side panels (5) contain two upstanding attachment edges (17) and the attachment means of the attachment panels contain (16) two undercut edges (18) which can be applied fittingly over the associated upstanding attachment edges (17) of the side panels (5).
  • 3. Presentation box according to claim 2, characterised in that the side panels (5) contain a wall which is provided with at least four side edges (6a, 6b, 6c and/or 6d), whereby the mounting means (10) contain two or more upstanding edges (13a, 13b, 13c and/or 13d) which extend at least over a part of the side edges (6a, 6b, 6c and/or 6d) and contain two or more inner edges (14) which are located at a distance (A) from the upstanding edges (13a, 13b, 13c and/or 13d), such that two or more grooves are formed between the upstanding edges (13a, 13b, 13c and/or 13d) and the inner edges (14).
  • 4. Presentation box according to claims 2 and 3, characterised in that the side panels (5) contain at least two passages (19) in the upstanding edge (13a) which adjoins the upperside (3d) of the box (2) in mounted condition, such that the facing ends (20a) and (20b) of the attachment panels (16) can be applied in the passages (19) and the undercut edges (18) of the attachment panels (16) are or can be slid over the associated upstanding attachment edges (17) of the side panels (5).
  • 5. Presentation box according to claims 2 to 4, characterised in that the upstanding attachment edges (17) of the side panels (5) border the inner edges (14) at the front side (3a) or the back side (3c) of the presentation box (2) in mounted condition, said upstanding attachment edges (17) being located on the side of the inner edge (14) away from the groove.
  • 6. Presentation box according to any one of the claims 2 to 5, characterised in that the upstanding attachment edges (17) of the side panels (5) protrude above the associated inner edges (14) in terms of depth (D).
  • 7. Presentation box according to any one of the claims 3 to 6, characterised in that the side edge (6a, 6b, 6c or 6d) of the side panels (5) which, in mounted condition of the side panels (5) and the sleeve, is located along the upperside (3d) of the sleeve, is free from a groove.
  • 8. Presentation box according to any one of the previous claims, characterised in that the side panels (5) are provided with clamping means (11) on their mounting means (10).
  • 9. Presentation box according to claim 8, characterised in that the clamping means (11) comprise two or more pegs (15) or brackets which are applied such that the semi-finished product (1) is clamped in the side panels (5).
  • 10. Presentation box according to claim 9, characterised in that several pegs (15) or brackets are applied along at least a part of the longitudinal direction of the side edges (6a, 6b, 6c and/or 6d).
  • 11. Presentation box according to any one of the claims 8 to 10, characterised in that the clamping means (11) are located on the mounting means (10) of the side panels (5).
  • 12. Presentation box according to any one of the claims 8 to 11, characterised in that the clamping means (10) are located on the upstanding edges (13a, 13b, 13c and/or 13d) and/or the inner edges (14) of the mounting means (10).
  • 13. Presentation box according to any one of the claims 8 to 12, characterised in that the clamping means (11) extend over at least a quarter of the distance (A) between the upstanding edges (13a, 13b, 13c and/or 13d) and the inner edges (14).
  • 14. Presentation box according to any one of the previous claims, characterised in that the semi-finished product (1) is executed in two parts, whereby a first part (la) successively contains a front side (3a), a bottom (3b) and a back side (3c) and the second part a front flap (3e), an upperside (3d) and a back side (3c′).
  • 15. Presentation box according to any one of the previous claims 3 to 13, characterised in that the semi-finished product (1) is provided with a layer of hotmelt adhesive on one or more sides which is applied directly on the semi-finished product (1) for applying a finishing layer directly on said layer of hotmelt adhesive, whereby the side panels (5) are executed with a double groove which is intended for mounting the double back side (3c and 3c′) of the semi-finished product (1) and whereby the attachment edge (17) is located on the side of the inner edge (14) away from the grooves.
  • 16. Presentation box according to any one of the previous claims, characterised in that the semi-finished product (1) contains one sheet which is divided in different segments (3) by means of weakenings (4) such as grooves, which separate the segments (3) from each other and along which the sheet can be folded into the aforementioned sleeve.
  • 17. Presentation box according to claim 16, characterised in that the finishing layer is provided on at least one side of the semi-finished product (1), said finishing layer containing a print and/or a coating and/or the like.
  • 18. Presentation box according to any one of the previous claims, characterised in that the semi-finished product (1) contains two or more sheets which are or can be attached at a distance from each other and are coated all around with a finishing layer, whereby the distance between the sheets forms a weakening (4) such that the semi-finished product (1) can be transformed into the aforementioned sleeve
