Claims
- 1. A press section for drainage of a fibrous material web comprising:
a shoe press roll; a cylindrical counter roll; at least two nips comprising a first nip formed by the shoe press roll and the cylindrical counter roll and a last nip; and at least two press felts, in which at least one press felt is disposed on each side of the fibrous material web, the at least two press felts being arranged to travel through the first and the last nip, wherein at least one of the at least two press felts is separated from the fibrous material web and conveyed away after leaving the last nip.
- 2. The press section according to claim 1, wherein the fibrous material web travels on the shortest possible path to a second cylindrical counter roll of the last nip after winding part way around the cylindrical counter roll of the first nip.
- 3. The press section according to claim 2, wherein the cylindrical counter roll of the first nip and the second cylindrical counter roll of the last nip are pressed at least slightly against each other.
- 4. The press section according to claim 2, wherein the last nip is formed by the second cylindrical counter roll and a second shoe press roll.
- 5. The press section according to claim 1, wherein the fibrous material web comprises a paper web.
- 6. The press section according to claim 1, wherein the press felt that is separated from the fibrous material web is separated by a suction element.
- 7. The press section according to claim 1, wherein the press felt that is separated from the fibrous material web is separated by a blower element.
- 8. The press section according to claim 1, wherein at least one of the at least two press felts carries the fibrous material web after leaving the last nip, and is conveyed past a suction element.
- 9. The press section according to claim 8, wherein the suction element comprises a suction roll.
- 10. The press section according to claim 8, wherein the suction element comprises a suction box.
- 11. The press section according to claim 1, wherein the press felt separated from the fibrous material web and conveyed away after leaving the last nip is conveyed past a blower element.
- 12. The press section according to claim 11, wherein the blower element comprises a blow box.
- 13. The press section according to claim 1, wherein the fibrous material web is always in contact with at least one of the at least two press felts between the first nip and the last nip.
- 14. The press section according to claim 1, further comprising an intermediate nip arranged between the first nip and the last nip, wherein the fibrous material web is guided through the first nip, the intermediate nip, and the last nip in contact with at least one of the at least two press felts.
- 15. The press section according to claim 14, wherein a pressing force in the intermediate nip is lower than in the first nip and the last nip.
- 16. The press section according to claim 15, wherein the first nip and the last nip are extended nip presses, and the intermediate nip is formed between cylindrical surfaces.
- 17. The press section according to claim 14, wherein the last nip is formed between a second shoe press roll and a second cylindrical counter roll, and the intermediate nip is formed between the cylindrical counter roll and second cylindrical counter roll.
- 18. The press section according to claim 14, wherein the fibrous material web is always in contact with the at least two press felts between the first nip and the last nip.
- 19. The press section according to claim 1, wherein the fibrous material web is always in contact with the at least two press felts between the first nip and the last nip.
- 20. A press section for drainage of a fibrous material web comprising:
a first and second shoe press roll; a first and second cylindrical counter roll; a plurality of nips comprising,
a first nip formed by the first shoe press roll and the first cylindrical counter roll, a second nip formed by the second shoe press roll and the second cylindrical counter roll, and a third nip between the first cylindrical roll and the second cylindrical roll; and at least two press felts, in which at least one press felt is disposed on each side of the fibrous material web, the at least two press felts being arranged to travel through at least one of the first, second, and third nips; wherein the fibrous material web is always in contact with at least one of the at least one two press felts as it is guided from a first one of the first, second, and third nips to a last one of the first, second, and third nips; wherein the at least one press felt on one side of the fibrous material web is separated from the fibrous material web after the fibrous web material passes through the last one of the first, second, and third nips; and wherein the at least one press felt separated from the one side of the fibrous material web is conveyed away.
