Claims
- 1. A pressure sensor element for mounting in a connecting element (4) comprising:
a pressure transducer element (30) for outputting a pressure-dependent signal; and an isolator member (10) having
a passage (12) between a first opening in an end face of the isolator member which extends essentially perpendicular to the mounting direction of the pressure sensor element as far as its outer edge, and a second opening in a second surface of the isolator member, the pressure transducer element being connected to the passage (12) via the second opening, and a diaphragm (20) which seals the first opening of the passage (12), and a transmission medium in the passage (12), for the purpose of transmitting the pressure prevent at the diaphragm (20) to the pressure transducer element (30), wherein the diaphragm (20) extends laterally beyond the outer edge of the end face of the isolator member (10).
- 2. The pressure sensor element as claimed in claim 1, in which the isolator member (10) has an essentially axially symmetrical lateral surface with reference to the mounting direction.
- 3. The pressure sensor element according to any of the preceding claims, in which the diaphragm (20) is connected to the end face of the isolator member (10) along an inherently closed seam (21) of the isolator member.
- 4. The pressure sensor element of claim 3, in which the seam (21) of the isolator member is designed as a welding seam, as a soldering seam or as a bonding seam.
- 5. The pressure sensor element according to one of claims 1 to 4, in which the isolator member (10) has in its end face a cutout (14) which is completely unclosed by the seam (21) of the isolator member.
- 6. The pressure sensor element as claimed in one of claims 4-5, in which outside the surface enclosed by the seam (21) of the isolator member the diaphragm (20) has at least one inherently closed reinforcing fin or groove or bulge which surrounds the seam (21) of the isolator member.
- 7. The pressure sensor element as claimed in one of the preceding claims, in which the diaphragm (20) is a metal diaphragm.
- 8. A pressure sensor arrangement comprising:
a pressure sensor element according to one of the preceding claims; and a connecting element (40) with an opening (42) in a surface (41) for holding the pressure sensor element, the pressure sensor element being fixed in the opening (42); such a way that the end face of the isolator member (10) lies in a plane with the edge region of the surface (41) about the opening (42), further characterized in that the protecting region of the diaphragm (20) is connected to the edge region of the surface (41) along an inharently closed connecting seam (44) about the opening (42).
- 9. The pressure sensor arrangement as claimed in claim 8, in which the connecting seam (44) is designed as a welding seam, soldering seam or adhesive seam.
- 10. The pressure sensor arrangement as claimed in claim 8 or 9, in which the inner wall of the opening (42) and the lateral surface of the isolator member (10) have mutually complementary threads (46) to the thread (13).
- 11. The pressure sensor arrangement as claimed in one of claims 8 to 10, in which at least one anti-rotation means is provided which prevents rotation of the mounted pressure sensor element in the opening (42).
- 12. The pressure sensor arrangement as claimed in claim 12, having at least one welded connection (43) between the pressure sensor element and the connecting element (40), the welded connection (43) being designed in a section of the opening (42) remote from the end face of the isolator member (10).
- 13. A method for mounting a pressure sensor element having a isolator member which has a diaphragm which is arranged on its end face and extends laterally beyond the edge of the end face, the method comprising the following steps:
(i) inserting the pressure sensor element into an opening in a connecting surface such that the edge of the end face of the isolator member and the region, surrounding the opening, of the connecting surface lie in a plane; and (ii) fastening the diaphragm on the connecting surface along an inherently closed seam which surrounds the opening.
- 14. The method as claimed in claim 13, in which the seam is formed by welding, soldering or bonding with an adhesive.
- 15. The method as claimed in claim 13 or 14, for the purpose of mounting a pressure sensor element as claimed in one of claims 1 to 7.
- 16. The method as claimed in one of claims 13 to 15, in which the pressure sensor element is a precalibrated pressure sensor elements and the mounting is performed such that the calibration is maintained.
- 17. A pressure sensor arrangement comprising:
a pressure sensor element having a pressure transducer element for outputting a pressure-dependant signal; and a isolator member (210) having
a passage between a first opening in an end face of the isolator member and a second opening in a second surface of the isolator member, the pressure transducer element being connected to the passage (12) via the second opening, and a diaphragm (220) whose circumference runs on the end face of the isolator member and is fastened an the end face along an inherently closed seam, the diaphragm sealing the first opening of the passage, and a transmission medium in the passage (12), for the purpose of transmitting the pressure present at the diaphragm (20) to the pressure transducer element (30), and a connecting element (240) with an opening (242) in a surface (241) for holding the pressure sensor element, wherein the pressure sensor element being fixed in the opening (242) in such a way that the end face of the isolator member (210) lies in a plane with the edge region of the surface (41) about the opening (42), characterized in that the pressure sensor arrangement further has a diaphragm ring (260) with an inner edge region and an outer edge region, the inner edge region being fastened on the end face of the isolator member (210) by means of an inherently closed seam (261) of the isolator member and being fastened on the surface (241) of the connecting element by means of an inherently closed connecting seam (262) about the opening (242).
- 18. The pressure sensor arrangement as claimed in claim 17, the diaphragm ring (260) being formed from the same material as the diaphragm (220).
