- 2. The clutch of claim 1 further comprising:
(a) said first plastic being LNP ENGINEERING PLASTICS® DFL-4036®; (b) said second plastic being LNP ENGINEERING PLASTICS® RCL-4036®.
- 3. The clutch of claim 1 wherein a said one clutch disk has a plurality of raised areas.
- 4. A printer ribbon transport mechanism comprising:
(a) a first pair of plastic clutch disks consisting of a said first plastic disk and a said second plastic disk; (b) a second pair of plastic clutch disks consisting of a said first plastic disk and a said second plastic disk; (c) a first plastic disk comprising a first plastic; (d) a second plastic disk comprising a second plastic; (e) said first and second plastic disks of each said disk pair being adapted to press against each other; (f) said first and second plastic disks of each said disk pair having a low static coefficient of friction relative to each other; (g) said first and second plastic disks of each said disk pair having a high dynamic coefficient of friction relative to each other; and (h) said each first disk being adapted to rotate each said second disk by interaction forces due to coefficient of friction.
- 5. The printer ribbon transport mechanism of claim 4 further comprising:
(a) said first plastic being LNP ENGINEERING PLASTICS® DFL-4036®; (b) said second plastic being LNP ENGINEERING PLASTICS® RCL-4036®.
- 6. The printer ribbon transport mechanism of claim 4 wherein said first clutch disk is adapted to have a plurality of raised areas which are adapted to insure a better frictional coupling to said second clutch disk.
- 7. A method for making a clutch comprising the steps of:
(a) forming a first plastic disk consisting mainly of first plastic; (b) forming a second plastic disk consisting mainly of a second plastic; (c) pressing said first and second plastic disks against each other; (d) utilizing said first and second plastic disks having a low static coefficient of friction relative to each other; (e) utilizing said first and second plastic disks having a high dynamic coefficient of friction relative to each other; and (f) rotating said first disk to rotate second said disk, by interaction forces according to coefficient of friction.
- 8. The method of claim 7 further comprising the steps of:
(a) choosing LNP ENGINEERING PLASTICS® DFL-4036® as said first plastic; (b) choosing LNP ENGINEERING PLASTICS® RCL-4036® as said second plastic.
- 9. The method of claim 7 further comprising the step of:
(a) forming a plurality of raised areas on first said clutch disk wherein said raised areas are adapted to insure a better frictional coupling to second said clutch disk.
- 10. A method for making a printer ribbon transport mechanism comprising the steps of:
(a) forming a first plastic disk consisting mainly of first plastic; (b) forming a second plastic disk consisting mainly of a second plastic; (c) pressing said first and second plastic disks against each other; (d) utilizing said first and second plastic disks having a low static coefficient of friction relative to each other; (e) utilizing said first and second plastic disks having a high dynamic coefficient of friction relative to each other; and (f) rotating said first disk to rotate second said disk, by interaction forces according to coefficient of friction. (g) step for transporting a printer ribbon wherein a first and a second plastic clutch disk are utilized.
- 11. The method of claim 10 further comprising the steps of:
(a) choosing DFL-4036 as said first plastic; (b) choosing RCL-4036 as said second plastic.
- 12. The method of claim 10 further comprising the step of:
(a) forming a plurality of raised areas said first clutch disk wherein said raised areas are adapted to insure a better frictional coupling to said second disk of said clutch disk pairs
