Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a prize storage case attached to a product and used to contain prizes of the product.

Description of Related Art

Heretofore, products have been sold with prizes (free gifts) attached to promote sales. For example, Patent Documents 1 (JP 2010-280417 A) and 2 (JP 3135148 U) disclose a storage container or storage bag attached to the top of a beverage can container as a product, which houses the prize. These storage containers or storage bags are configured to be easily and properly attached to and detached from can containers as generic product.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
Technical Problem

However, the storage containers and storage bags disclosed in Patent Documents 1 and 2 could not be used to contain the prize after being detached from the product. This is because the bottom (lower part) of the storage containers and bags described in Patent Documents 1 and 2 is open to allow easy attachment to the top of the can container. Some purchasers of the product buy it for the prize, and such purchasers have a desire to store or display the prize in a condition where it is properly contained.

Therefore, the present invention has been made to solve the above technical problems, and an object thereof is to provide a prize storage case which can properly store prizes after the prize has been detached from the product.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

With reference to the accompanying drawings, a prize storage case according to an embodiment of the present invention will now be described.

<Configuration of Prize Storage Case>

First of all, with reference to FIGS. 1 to 3, the overall configuration of a prize storage case according to this embodiment will be described. FIG. 1 is a perspective view showing a prize storage case with the prize (free gift) such as a toy contained. FIG. 2 is a perspective view showing the state before attaching the prize storage case to the container of the PET bottle beverage (i.e., PET bottle) as a product. FIG. 3 is a perspective view showing the state after attaching the prize storage case to the PET bottle. For the sake of convenience in explanation, the prize is shown only in FIG. 1, and its depiction will be omitted in FIG. 2 and subsequent figures.

As shown in FIGS. 1 to 3, the prize storage case 10 is configured to contain the prize 20 of a PET bottled beverage 30 and is attached to cover the cap 32 at the top of the PET bottle 31. In this case, the prize storage case 10 is configured to be inserted from above the PET bottle 31 and attached to the portion of the cap 32 of the PET bottle 31 (FIGS. 3 and 4).

Specifically, the prize storage case 10 has an attachment portion 1 configured to be detachably attached to the portion of the lid 32 of a PET bottle 31, a case portion 3 that contains the prize 20, and a connection portion 7 that detachably connects the attachment portion 1 and the case portion 3. More particularly, as shown in FIG. 1, the case portion 3 of the prize storage case 10 has a cover portion 4 which is formed by transparent material and covers the prize 20, and a disc-shaped base portion 5 which is provided to close the bottom (lower part) of the cover portion 4 and on which the prize 20 is placed.

For example, the PET bottled beverages 30 with the prize storage case 10 attached (FIG. 3) can be shrink-wrapped with an opaque film, so that the prizes 20 in the prize storage case 10 are not visible from the outside.

Next, with reference to FIGS. 4 to 9, the specific configuration of the prize storage case 10 will be described. FIG. 4 is a longitudinal cross-sectional view of a PET beverage bottle 30 with the prize storage case 10 attached, as shown in FIG. 3. FIG. 5 is a perspective view of the prize storage case 10 with the cover portion 4 detached. FIG. 6 is a perspective view of the prize storage case 10 with the connecting portion 7 detached. FIG. 7 is a perspective view of the prize storage case 10 with the case portion 3 detached from the attachment portion 1 by detaching the connection portion 7. FIG. 8 is a perspective view of case portion 3. FIG. 9 is a perspective view of the case portion 3 with the base portion detached from the cover portion 4.

As shown in FIGS. 5 to 7, the attachment portion 1 of the prize storage case 10 is cylindrical as a whole and has a plurality of lock portions 1a formed between a plurality of slits 1b extending in the vertical direction. As shown in FIG. 4, the lock portions 1a of the attachment portion 1a has a claw portion 1c protruding inwardly in the radial direction on the inner wall of its lower end. Such a claw portion 1c climbs over an annular portion 33 protruding at the lower part of the lid 32 of the PET bottle 31, so that the attachment portion 1 of the prize storage case 10 is securely locked to the PET bottle 31 by the lock portion 1a.

As shown in FIG. 5, the prize storage case 10 is configured so that the cover portion 4 of the case portion 3 can be detached. This allows the prizes 20 in the case portion 3 (not shown in the figure. The same apply hereinafter) to be detached.

As shown in FIGS. 6 and 7, the prize storage case 10 is configured so that the connecting portion 7 can be detached (separated) by the user, and when this connecting portion 7 is detached, the attachment portion 1 and the case portion 3 are separated. Specifically, the connecting portion 7 is formed in the form of tape and is provided around the entire circumference of the prize storage case 10 between the attachment portion 1 and the case portion 3. The connecting portion 7 is detached (separated) from the prize storage case 10 by picking and pulling the tab 7a of the connecting portion 7 and moving this tab 7a along the circumferential direction.

In this embodiment, as shown in FIGS. 7 and 8, the case portion 3 is detached from the attachment portion 1, with the base portion 5 attached to the cover portion 4, i.e. with the cover portion 4 and the base portion 5 together, when the case portion 3 is detached from the attachment portion 1 via the connecting portion 7. This makes it possible to properly store the prize 20 in the case portion 3 removed from the attachment portion 1, thus enabling the prize 20 to be stored and appreciated in the case portion 3. As shown in FIG. 9, the case portion 3 of the prize storage case 10 is configured so that the cover portion 4 can be detached from the base portion 5. This allows the prizes in the case portion 3 to be taken out.

Here, with respect to the case portion 3, in the state that the base portion 5 is attached to the cover portion 4, the base portion 5 fits snugly inside the cover portion 4 (FIG. 8). In this case, the plurality of protrusions 5a on the outer circumference of the base portion 5 contact the inner circumference of the cover portion 4, so that the base portion fits into the lower opening of the cover portion 4 (FIGS. 8 and 9). The cover portion 4 and the base portion 5 may be configured to be attached by screwing them together.

<Functions and Effects>

As described above, in this embodiment, the prize storage case comprising: the attachment portion 1 configured to be detachably attached to the top of the PET bottled beverage 30; the case portion 3 for containing the prize 20; and the connecting portion 7 for detachably connecting the attachment portion 1 and the case portion 3; wherein the case portion 3 comprises the cover portion 4 covering the prize 20 and the base portion 5 that is provided at the bottom of the cover portion 4 and on which the prize 20 is placed; and wherein the case portion 3 is configured to be detached from the attachment portion 1 with the base portion 5 attached to the cover portion 4 when the case portion 3 is detached from the attachment portion 1 via the connection portion 7.

In such a prize storage case 10, the case portion 3 is detached from the attachment portion 1 with the base portion 5 attached to the cover portion 4, i.e., with the cover portion 4 and the base portion 5 together. According to this embodiment, the prize 20 can be appropriately stored in the case portion 3 detached from the attachment portion 1, and the prize 20 can be stored and appreciated in the case portion 3. In this case, since the case portion 3 is separated from the attachment portion 1 by the connecting portion 7, it is possible to improve the aesthetic appeal of the case portion 3 containing the prize 20 compared to the configuration in which the case portion 3 is not separated from the attachment portion 1 (i.e., the attachment portion 1 remains as it is).

In this embodiment, since the case portion 3 is configured so that the cover portion 4 and the base portion 5 are detachable, the stored prize 20 can be easily taken out from the case portion 3 while being appropriately stored in the case portion 3 as described above.

In this embodiment, since the cover portion 4 of the case portion 3 is formed by the transparent material, the prize 20 stored in the case portion 3 can be viewed from the outside.

In this embodiment, the attachment portion 1 of the prize storage case 10 is configured to be attached at the container of the lid 32 of a container (PET bottle 31) of the PET bottle beverage 30. Since the lid 32 of the PET bottle 31 has a common form in various PET bottled beverages 30, the prize storage case 10 can be applied to various PET bottled beverages 30.

In this embodiment, since the attachment portion 1 is configured to be locked by climbing over the annular portion 33 protruding at the bottom of the lid 32 of the PET bottle 31, the prize storage case 10 can be securely attached to the PET bottle 31.

<Modifications>

In the embodiment described above, the case portion 3 is configured so that the cover portion 4 are removable from the base portion 5, but in a first modification, the cover portion and the base portion may be configured integrally. This first modification is explained with reference to FIG. 10. FIG. 10 is a perspective view of the case portion for the first modification of this embodiment described above. The same attachment portion 1 and connection portion 7 as in the above embodiment are applied to the case portion for this first modification. Therefore, the illustrations and descriptions of the attachment portion 1 and the connection portion 7 are omitted here.

As shown in FIG. 10, the case portion 3 for the first modification has the cover portion 4 and the base portion 5 formed integrally. Specifically, the cover section 4 and the base portion 5 are formed of the same material, so that the base portion 5 cannot be detached from the cover portion 4. The case portion 3 for the first modification has a lid portion 6 that opens and closes at the top of the cover portion 4. In the first modification, by opening such a lid portion 6, the prize 20 can be taken out from the case portion 3.

In the above embodiment, the cover portion 4 of the case portion 3 is formed by the transparent material, but the cover portion 4 may be formed of an opaque material. When the cover section 4 is formed by the opaque material, since the prize 20 inside the cover portion 4 is not visible from the outside, there is no need to shrink-wrap with the opaque film as described above. For example, in the case portion 3 for the first modification shown in FIG. 10, since the cover portion 4 and the base portion 5 are formed by the same material, if this case portion 3 is further formed by the same material as the attachment portion 1, the opaque material may be used.

In the above embodiment, the case portion 3 is formed with a diameter approximately the same as a diameter of the attachment portion 1 (slightly larger than the lid 32 of the PET bottle 31), but the case portion 3 is not limited to being formed with such a diameter. The case portion 3 can be formed with a diameter corresponding to the size of the prize 20 stored inside the case portion 3. For example, the case portion 3 may be formed with a diameter considerably larger than the lid 32 of a PET bottle 31.

In the above embodiment, the connecting portion 7 is configured by a tape-like member, but the connecting portion is not limited to being configured by such a member, and a plurality of bridges (thin joints) connecting the attachment portion 1 and the case portion 3 may be used as the connecting portion. In this case, when the case portion 3 is rotated against the attachment portion 1, the bridges are broken and the case portion 3 is detached from the attachment portion 1. Furthermore, in another example, the attachment portion 1 and the case portion 3 may be secured by gluing them together with a scotch tape as the connecting portion.

Although the above embodiment shows an example of applying the invention to PET bottled beverages 30, the invention can be applied to a variety of products. For example, the invention is not limited to the application to the PET bottles 31, which are the containers for the PET bottled beverages 30, but can also be applied to the cans and bottles, and is not limited to the application to the containers for beverages, but can also be applied to the containers for seasonings, cosmetics, and food. The invention is also not limited to the application to such containers, but can also be applied to the products themselves that do not use the containers.

In the embodiment described above, the prize storage case 10 was attached to the top of the PET bottled beverage 30 (at the portion of the lid 32), but depending on the product to which the invention is applied, the prize storage case 10 may be attached to the bottom of the product. In short, the prize storage case 10 can be attached to the edge (top or bottom) of the product.

With reference to FIGS. 11 to 20, the prize storage case for second and third modifications of the embodiments of the present invention will now be described. In this section, descriptions of configurations similar to the embodiments described above will be omitted. Therefore, the configurations not specifically described here shall be the same as those of the embodiments described above.

With reference to FIGS. 11 to 15, the specific configuration of the prize storage case 10a for the second modification of this embodiment is described. FIG. 11 shows a longitudinal cross-sectional view of the PET bottled beverage 30 with the prize storage case 10a attached. FIG. 12 shows a longitudinal cross-sectional view of the PET bottled beverage 30 with the prize storage case 10a attached and the prize 20 detached. FIG. 13 is a front view of the prize storage case 10a after the prize storage case 10a has been attached to the PET bottle. FIG. 14 is a top perspective view of the prize storage case 10a with the cover portion 14 and the prize 20 detached from the base 15. FIG. 15 is a bottom perspective view of the prize storage case with the cover portion 14 and the prize 20 detached from the base 15.

As shown in FIGS. 11 to 15, the prize storage case 10a for the second modification has a cover portion 14 covering the prize 20 and a base portion 15 provided at the bottom of the cover portion 14 on which the prize 20 is placed. The prize storage case 10a of this second modification differs from the prize storage case 10 of the embodiment described above in that the base portion 15 has, at its bottom, an attachment portion 11 configured to be detachably attached to the top of the lid 32 of the PET bottle 31. The prize storage case 10a is configured to be detached from the lid 32 with the base portion 15 attached to the cover portion 14 when the attachment portion 11 of the base portion 15 is detached from the lid 32. According to this second modification, the prize storage case 10a detached from the lid 32 can properly store the prize 20, thus enabling the prize 20 to be stored and appreciated in the state of being contained in the prize storage case 10a.

The attachment portion 11 of the base portion 15 has a plurality of protrusions 15b provided on its inner peripheral wall to contact the outer peripheral wall of the lid 32 of the PET bottle 31, as shown in FIG. 15, and the lid 32 is held by these plurality of protrusions 15b.

In the prize storage case 10a of the second modification, the base portion 15 has a plurality of protrusions 15a on its outer wall that can be locked with the cover portion 14 (FIG. 14), and the cover portion 14 has an annular portion 14a protruding inward at its lower end to be locked by climbing over the protrusions 15a of the base portion 15 (FIG. 15). These protrusions 15a of the base portion 15 and the annular portion 14a of the cover portion 14 allow the cover portion 14 to be detachably attached to the base portion 15 (see FIGS. 11 and 12).

The base portion 15 has a plurality of holes (through holes) 15c on its top surface, as shown in FIG. 14. This allows air to circulate even if an infant accidentally ingests the prize storage case 10a (especially the base portion 15) and chokes on the airway.

The base portion 15 has a protruding rod 16 on its top surface that is configured to be inserted into the hole 20a of the prize 20 to support the prize 20 (see FIGS. 14 and 15).

Next, with reference to FIGS. 16 to 20, the specific configuration of the prize storage case 10b for the third modification of this embodiment will be described. FIG. 16 is a longitudinal cross-sectional view of the PET bottle beverage 30 with the prize storage case 10b attached. FIG. 17 shows a longitudinal cross-sectional view of the PET bottled beverage 30 with the prize storage case 10b attached and the prize 20 removed. FIG. 18 is a front view of the prize storage case 10b after the prize storage case 10b is attached to the PET bottle. FIG. 19 is a top perspective view of the prize storage case 10b with the cover portion 24 and the prize 20 removed from the base 25. FIG. 20 is a bottom perspective view of the prize storage case with the cover portion 24 and the prize 20 removed from the base 25.

As shown in FIGS. 16 to 20, the prize storage case 10b for the third modification has a cover portion 24 covering the prize 20 and a base portion 25 provided at the bottom of the cover portion 24 on which the prize 20 is placed. The base portion 25 covers the edge of the PET bottle 31 and is configured to be screwed onto the end of the PET bottle 31. The prize storage case 10b for the third modification differs from the prize storage case 10 of the embodiment described above in that the base portion 25 forms a lid configured to be removably attached to the end portion of the PET bottle 31, i.e., the base portion 25 is configured to serve as both a base for the prize 20 and a lid for the PET bottle 31. The base portion 25 is configured to be detached from the PET bottle 31 with the cover portion 24 attached when it is detached from the PET bottle 31. According to this third modification, the prize 20 can be properly stored in the prize storage case 10b detached from the PET bottle 31, and the prize 20 can thus be stored and appreciated in the prize storage case 10b.

In the prize storage case 10b for the third modification, the base portion 25 has a plurality of protrusions 25a on its outer wall that can be locked with the cover portion 24 (FIG. 19), and the cover portion 24 has an annular portion 24a protruding inward at its lower end to be locked by climbing over the protrusions 25a of the base portion 25 (FIG. 20). These protrusions 25a of the base portion 25 and the annular portion 24a of the cover portion 24 allow the cover portion 24 to be detachably attached to the base portion 25 (see FIGS. 16 and 17).

The base portion 25 has a protruding rod 26 on its top surface that is configured to be inserted into the hole 20a of the prize 20 to support the prize 20.

Thus, the above-described embodiments are examples to illustrate the invention, and the invention is not limited to these embodiments. The invention can be implemented in various forms as long as it does not depart from the gist of the invention.
